2112, absolutely.

I love Hemispheres as well, but no '70's Rush album can beat my first love, that is 2112.

Depends on when you ask...and I can't decide between the latter 4 today! Sorry I can't answer this at the mo. But I do have a soft spot for 2112 and PeW...(reaching for the mouse button now and pausing...) but then AFTK with Xanadu and Cygnus, and Hemishperes with La Villa and....

All right, all right, I included Permanent Waves.

Aaaannd I voted for it.

It was a tough call, though.

Permanent Waves is the most consistent album here, where the top stuff here is easily Top 10 Rush. Different Strings, my least favorite on this album, is still Top 40. While AFTK and Hemispheres has some Top 10 Rush songs as well, they have The Trees (Top 40, almost beats Permanent Waves), and AFTK has Cinderella Man and Madrigal, which aren't up there.

Wait, Permanent Waves is an 80's album.

*shots fired*

An album for the ages, for any decade . . . but it was made in the rock majesty decade

Released in January 1980 so it was recorded in 1979. Guess that would make Morrison Hotel a 60s album or Violator an 80s album.

Hell, Rolling Stone called London Calling the best album of the 80s even though it came out in the UK a month before the decade before it hit the states. Released the same month and year as The Wall by Pink Floyd as well.

That's pretty much exactly how my thought process went.

When I made my TRF account I hadn't heard Permanent Waves.
