This is it. Some decent competition from Moving Pictures, but it was clearly a race between these two behemoths in the last poll. You can choose only one, which one shall it be?

Close to the Edge artwork is just a green background with a logo. How is that great artwork?

I meant to compare the inside cover of CTTE with the outside cover of Hemispheres. Obviously the outer cover of CTTE is pretty basic (albeit nice).

Much as I love Hemispheres and see it as a towering achievement of 'Prog-era' Rush, my voting is -

Close To The Edge

Close To The Edge

Roger Dean

Roger Dean is my favourite album artist, closely followed by the Hipgnosis team.

Because it doesn't have a naked man with his ass exposed, that's how.

I never look at that! :o

Probably best not to ...... straight to the music lol!

I bet if it was a naked woman's ass on the cover the album would have sold an extra million copies.

Yes times three. No contest.

Sorry, mho, the Hemispheres artwork looks like a Salvador Dali ripoff. A Masterwork it is not, and I've seen a few of those-three times, and will see them again if I get back to St. Pete.

Yep, highly likely. Breasts, that's a different story, as evidenced in Mati Klarwein's cover art for Santana's Abraxas.

Now, it's to the final two. Since, and as Rush has been my favorite band, and group, I had to pick them. The band, and group Yes is still another one of my favorite bands, and groups. The artwork on both "Hemispheres", and "Close to the Edge" is very creative, and unique. Therefore, I think it can be, and is close to decide on that, too. Edited by Derek19

It's not that they're merely your fave band, just Hemi is such an amazing piece of prog at the height of their powers but CTTE is monumental in so many ways as well. Truly on another day it might've been a different choice. The artwork and artists were a simple choice however! :AlienSmiley:

God two of the greatest albums of all time, against one another!

It has to be CTTE. As for art, I really hate the cover of Hemispheres.

And Roger Dean might be my favourite cover artist.

Yes already used the naked man butt on Going for the One.

It's the same cover only brains instead of buildings, it's even the same colour.
