This is more of a whipping than I expected. Thought there’d be more anti-Trees voters out there going on about cheesy lyrics
Nah, I'm tired of mentioning that song anymore. Not worth my time.

The Trees appeals to the 10-year-old boy in me trying to work my way through The Lord of the Rings because my teacher thought I could.  Distant Early Warning sort of appeals to the slightly worried "what the f**k is happening to the world" adolescent in me.  I really dig the music, though.

GUP is a good album, maybe even a great one, but putting it up against the might of Hemispheres is a colossal mismatch.

Grace for me, as a total album.  Side B of Hemispheres is tops, but the suite is a kimono-rock disappointment to me.   Grace is more consistent beginning to end for my tastes.

Two very different bands, for sure!
