driventotheedge
Always a very difficult day for me because not only is it the anniversary of the last ever Rush concert, but I also lost my brother and only sibling at age 56 that same day, 8/1/15.

Long live Rush and I'll raise one to you and your brother today as well. Gone far too young.

Bahamas
Rhyta, I went with my brother. It was a Toronto date. He has always made tough about Rush, he is older, knew somebody who knew somebody...but I was always detailed and paying more attention, collecting the albums and reading the stories. I said I would get tickets, drive down east 15 hours, we would go together - a brotherly thing. He took it in stride "... sure bro, sounds neat". What I wouldn't give to go back, 5 years, to re-live the goose bumps and sounds I heard. A triple Makers on ice in a plastic cup from the concession counter. A glossy Program Photo booklet for both of us. It was amazing. I kept saying to him, it could be it?! He was all whatever. Saw them at such and such. "Thanks for the getting me a program and a slice of pizza". Lately? He wants to talk about it. "I can't believe we went to the concert!". And we have had many discussions about the show. And I watch the R40 dvd always looking for our faces. Nothing, but that's ok. ...And more on Five Years Now... Reading and listening differently, for sure. Not in a sad way or difficult way, at all, really just enjoying all the material that has exploded around the media and being able to learn so much more. To The Guys, Cheers :)
Rhyta
Wow, thought I would bump up this thread...Now 8 years since I saw them live. Can't believe it has been so long, watching the video gave me goosebumps again. So glad I got to see them 3 times.
