What are the altoids for, Jack? There’s got to be another purpose other than just wanting mints. Using the tin container for something else? Tiny electrical device? Wire? Mini-mini hatchet?
They're a quick-acting poison in the very unlikely event that he gets captured by enemy forces!

That was a very one-sided fight, especially considering Ferguson was regarded as the division's boogeyman with 12 consecutive wins and a series of opponents who looked like they fell off a train after the fights. In this fight though Ferguson was the one who looked like he fell off a train.

From what I gather he'll be back before the end of the year possibly against one of the two guys who fought a couple of weeks ago Dustin Poirier or Dan Hooker.

This is the current lightweight rankings. Just to clalify lightweight in MMA is 154 pounds, the same as junior middleweight in boxing.

Champion: Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0) (Russia)

1.(IC) Justin Gaethje 22–2  (United States)
2. Dustin Poirier 26–6 (United States)
3. Tony Ferguson 25–4 (United States)
4. Conor McGregor 22-4 (Ireland)
5. Dan Hooker 20–9 (New Zealand)
6. Charles Oliveira 29–8 (1) (Brazil)
7. Paul Felder 17–5 (United States)
8. Carlos Diego Ferreira 17–2 (Brazil)
9. Kevin Lee 18–6 (United States)
10. Al Iaquinta 14–6 (United States)

Great kit! Everything you need! My only bugaboo is with the knife, the Becker Campanion. I hosted a survival trip about 6 years ago and one of my students brought one along. During field trials we found the knife to be bulky, heavy, and unwieldy. Also, the handle was quite slippery and that made it dangerous to use. Just a heads-up.

Well that's the weight they have to make but they only really weigh that for a few minutes. By fight time they probably weigh 10 or 15 pounds heavier.

For instance Masvidal was fighting at 170 pounds but he weighed 192 a couple of days before the weigh-in.

What are the altoids for, Jack? There’s got to be another purpose other than just wanting mints. Using the tin container for something else? Tiny electrical device? Wire? Mini-mini hatchet?

Good question! I've both seen and read about several different applications for an Altoids tins over the years. Some folks use it as a tinder box (flint and steel, mischmetal rod, or a Bic lighter) all carried along with tinder from cotton balls to sawdust to char cloth. Some use it to carry pills like advil and benadryl and such and I've even seen folks try to cram miniature versions of crucial surval tools into one claiming that's "all they'll need". I once challenged myself to compile the smallest kit I could that I would still trust my life to and the smallest kit I could make that would be "essentials only" was around the size of a shoebox. Since then, my advice has always been: beware of trusting a survival kit small enough to fit in an Altoids tin or they're liable to bury you in one.

Glad to hear you're doing good!  I'm doing good.  It was very bad here for awhile and it seemed to get better, but now, it's going up a bit again.  I say all those protests and people standing side by side made the numbers go up again.  Plus, when you reopen bars and restaurants it's bound to go up.  I just wear my mask and wash hands and wipe stuff down.  I try to social distance, but you can easily walk into the grocery store and be exposed.  What can you do though.  Last month I went to the pharmacy and was in line and the person behind me was closer then they should have  been and had on no mask and was coughing that I felt the back of my hair move....ewwwww.
So, how is by you?

Well I've hardly been out for the last 4 months so I don't know exactly. I've avoided all the craziness with stampedes at the Supernarket and whatnot. It seems pretty normal, it's not like people are dropping like flies. I don't know, I'm ok that's all I can say! The only thing I've had lately is a bit of hay fever but that's normal for me.

So your area is doing pretty well now apart from a slight surge recently? How do you feel yourself?

That's good you're avoiding the supermarkets.  I've noticed so many things are higher priced then usual too.

It seems to be alright where I'm at, but when I look at the numbers there are a lot of confirmed cases, so I just go where I have to and take precautions.  Like you, I have hay fever and sometimes my allergies have been acting up, but that's all.  My neighbor is a nurse and she works on the covid floor of hospital.  She says there's been a big drop in the number of patients, so that's always good to hear.

Take care, treeduck.  It was nice catching up with you :)
