Bahamas
Thought this was the most appropriate place to post the topic... I read an article that might be of interest to those interested in the back story of Red Sector A from Grace Under Pressure. No I am not pretending to know all the personal details behind that song, but from what I have read, surely it relates?I can't seem to copy the link, but if you do the google for Milton Esterow (the interviewer) or Francesco Lotoro (the Italian collector of the material) you should see an article about a collection of 30 years of work to preserve the music by composers and musicians at the Nazi death camps. Fascinating circumstances about preserving the music that kept a fraction of sanity and shared by many prisoners. One example was an opera written on toilet paper with charcoal and smuggled out. I love seeing real life stuff that our favourite trio made into music and how much bigger and wider in scope their songs can be about. Hope this is of interest to a few forum folk!
