Thanks buddy. It means a lot to me.

I was born in 1968. I am the same age as my Oakland A's.

Been going to A's games since 1974.

My dad took me to a 1974 World Series game. His trucking company back then had seats next to the A's batting circle.

Sal Bando was up and hit a foul ball over the net.

An older gentleman down behind the net caught it.

He threw the ball up to my dad and my dad gave me the ball.

I still have it.

I am a total dork. I went into my garage and found my Roy Steele bobblehead.

He's displayed in my family room next to my Knucklebonz Neil Peart statue and 3D "Hemispheres" art piece.

A's and Rush FOREVER!!!!!!!

John Carpenter too!!! :)

I just watched his bobblehead Roy Steele Ceremony speech. I'm so sad.

I remember driving home from work one day when the news broke that the late great Bill King passed away. "HOLY TOLEDO!"

It was so surreal. When I heard the news I was on the freeway passing by the Oakland Coliseum on the 880 freeway.

I was so sad. Bill just signed a new one year contract with the A's.

He had surgery I think on his hip and never recovered.

I just want the A's to build a new stadium in Oakland.

I don't care where they build it.

If the A's move out of Oakland, I will be moving out of the Bay Area.

I lost my Warriors to San Francisco. I know they started there.

I lost my Raiders to Las Vegas.

If the A's move out of California I am done here.

Those early 70's A's teams were great!! Vida Blue, Sal Bando, Catfish Hunter, Reggie Jackson, Rollie Fingers - what a lineup! My condolences! It is amazing how much an announcer or play by play guy becomes part of your game experience.
