A Classic Album To Revisit: THE TUBES: "The Completion Backward Principle"

Recommended Posts

Not really a lot of love on here for The Tubes, so here we go!

I love this band!!!!

Seen them twice and met Fee once. All he wanted to do was pick up chicks and get laid. This was after a Yoshi's gig in San Francisco like 4 years ago! LOL!

Always loved the drumming of Prairie Prince. Incredible drummer. Totally underrated!!!!

So yes, you should all have "The Completion Backward Principle" in your collection or on your smartphone. Don't be a dummy! Upload it now!!! LOL!

Every song is a gem:

Talk To Ya Later

Sushi Girl

Amnesia

Mr. Hate

Attack Of The Fifty-Foot Woman

Think About Me

A Matter Of Pride

Don't Want To Wait Anymore

Power Tools

Let's Make Some Noise

Brilliant Record.

I just discovered The Tubes in the past year (had heard of them during my high school days back in the 80's, but never really paid much attention). I don't care for any of their post '77 stuff. Everything after that sounds the same to me (boring arrangements).

They were another band that figured out that they wouldn't make any money being experimental, so had to simplify things. I really love their first two albums though...The Now album was just ok and I think they lost it after that (though probably made a decent bit of money afterwards with the couple hits they had).
