RushFanForever Posted May 18, 2020 Share Posted May 18, 2020 (edited) Recently I commented about Alex Lifeson's favorite albums in an article/interview here with Wolf Marshall Guitar One magazine promoting Test For Echo. One of the albums on Alex's list is by Vanessa Dauo. There's an article from Pop Matters about the Zipless album here. This album is in the electronica pop genre, with some spoken-word dialog (in particular the song 'Alcestis On the Poetry Circuit'), and I wonder if this influenced the title track for in a way. In a related scenario, Geddy has mentioned here being a fan of the album by Bjork. This album is also electronica pop as well. Also, Neil commented in his book Traveling Music: The Soundtrack to My Life and Times, that by Madonna was playing on the road trip in his car as noted here.
