HemiBeers
If John didn't play the drums on "In Through The Outdoor" that album would be better used for toilet paper in an outhouse! LOL!!!! John saves that pop record of poop!!!! Let's agree to disagree here...I love In Through the Out Door, man!!! The only possible weak link on the album for me is Hot Dog. Other than that, it's great. I still think one of those modern prog metal bands like Haken, Sons of Apollo or even Dream Theater could do an amazing cover of Carouselambra. Yeah all good buddy. There are a few solid tunes on the record. Great record sleeve packaging. Very cool. But mostly that album is a commercial conundrum. In Through the Outhouse was in the same drugged stupor that Jimmy Page was at the time.

Love it dude!!! I never saw the Mighty Zep live. I am sure in the genesis of their stardom Page was awesome. But from the footage I've seen he's a drunk on stage and a hack.Very sad. Page is a pioneer for sure. Stealing the blues like Elivs, but nonetheless a Legend. Page isn't even in my top 50 guitar players. Plant had great pipes, but for me it was John Paul Jones and Bonzo that kept that band grooving. John Paul Jones IS undererated. So glad I saw him live in Them Crooked Vultures!!!
RUSHHEAD666
"We're Gonna Groove." Again, "CODA" is also underrated. I love the record because it was one of the first Zep records I bought as a kid. Then I went backwards and bought the whole catalog. It was the sign of the times for a kid like me. I bought "Moving Pictures" first. Then "Exit Stage Left." I fell in love and then went back in time and bought everything else by the band. Syrinx
Stewart Copeland and Neil are both in my top 5 drummers of all time. Arguably the two most influential drummers of the 20th century You could argue that but you’d have to insert ‘of their type’ to be anywhere close to winning that argument.Maybe. Maybe not. For the masses who was more influential - Ringo maybe.

Masses meaning drummers of course - not the general public. I don't mean influential in a lyrical sense. He and Stewart in my opinion, influenced more people to pick up the drums and or change their style than any other drummers except for Ringo. Rutlefan
Very sweet remembrances from a classy guy. I had a secret hope that I would someday run into Neil at a track of Cars and Coffee. Not a rational hope but a "if I won the lottery" kind of hope. Now even that lottery-esque longshot is gone and I feel kind of sad about it. I admit though, apart from cars, I don't know what I would have said to him; I would have liked to tell him how much I loved his music and how much it meant to me growing up, but that's exactly what he didn't like to hear! Well, RIP then.
