Ok Rush Forum! This Is Serious, And Believe It Or Not I Was Drinking Hot Tea. Neil Visited Me Two Nights Again. NO BS!

Recommended Posts

So I wasn't going to write this on here because even I couldn't believe what I saw.

So just to let you know I have had some minor "ghost" activity in my house.

Mostly many many years ago when I was married to Wendy.

She saw a lot of weird stuff in this house.

I think I even wrote about it on here many many years ago.

But regardless and I have never seen anything strange here in my house ever.

Well until two nights ago.

This is very strange and I do have an open mind, but I am still very skeptical about spirits and ghosts in a house.

Although I do adore "Poltergeist." LOL

So hopefully some of you who read this who don't believe in shit can tell me what I saw was totally fake and complete fraud.

So here we go...

So before I was a drummer my mom forced me to take piano.

I hated it. I couldn't read sheet music. I still can't today, that's probably why I thrived on the drum kit.

Grip it, rip it and go baby.

But a few weeks ago my daughter Zoe's boyfriend brought me over a seriously sick amazing Yamaha keyboard.

I gave him 100 bucks for it.

It's on my dining room table in my living room area.

I've been playing on this thing every night for a week.

I can play "Jump" by Van Halen. I can play "Halloween" by John Carpenter. LOL!

But two nights ago I but on "Grace Under Pressure Live" and I played some keyboard parts to the concert video.

I think I actually made a thread about the GUP LIVE video about Neil playing with his 747s turned around.

So anyway I was playing some keyboard part to "Red Sector A.

Above my dining room table I have a three light modern chandelier. Two lights are lit and the third light has been out for months.

So here is the weird part.

As I was playing my keyboard along to Red Sector A, the third light bulb started to GLOW!!!!!!!!

You must believe me.

I was tripping out. That light bulb burned out months ago and I just never replaced it yet.

But it started to glow and matched the other two bulbs!!

Now stupidly I was like blown away.

I should have taken a picture.

But instead I tapped the light cover of the lit bulb because I couldn't believe me eyes.

Of course when I tapped on the glass hood the bulb when out.

I unscrewed the bulb instantly that was out and I shook it.

The filament inside of the bulb was loose.

So here is the kicker.

Before this bulb lit up I took the bulb out a few weeks ago and shook it.

The filament was broken even then.

So how could this bulb start glowing while I was playing keyboards to GUP LIVE?

WTF???????

Am I crazy?

Maybe.

I'm just being very honest..................................

The three lights above my table were lit up again.

Geddy

Alex

Neil

Weird.

Stuff like that happens all the time, all over the world. It's not a coincidence.

I lived in an apartment with major activity for about five years. Olive oil bottles knocking themselves over, small apparitions, sounds of scrapes and bangs.

I don't think you had Neil in your apartment -- he's probably still private, even in death -- but it could've been another spirit who enjoyed Rush while living.

BTW, spirits often express themselves through electrical networks and olive oil.

You could pour some olive oil into a small dish and put it on the keyboard. Play more Rush and see what happens. The spirit seems to like the synth era.

This is a great post!!! Oh and yes I am sure it wasn't Neil, but at that exact time my Rush brain couldn't help but think it was a brief encounter with Neil's spirit.

However!!!!

Oh, and I've written about this before on here many years ago in the Random Samples Section of the Forum.

I have had "ghost" activity in my house. Interesting enough, I have never seen anything yet. But my ex wife and second daughter Skylar have seen stuff go on in this house.

One day I bought a Ouija board at Target.

My friends and I played with a board once decades ago and nothing ever happened.

So I figured it would be fun to play with the wife and the girls.

Well no one wanted to play with the Ouija board, so I guess I was foolish but I played with the board alone while the wife sat on the couch watching her tv show.

Something did happen.

The plastic indicator started moving, so I asked the board, "who is this?"

The indicator spelled out the name STEVEN.

I asked the board, "how old are you?"

the indicator went to 9

Then it went to "goodbye."

So that was it. I was done.

I wasn't freaked out but to this day I've never played it again.

So many months later, my ex wife and Sky were home on some afternoon.

They heard some music coming from the garage.

They went into the garage and noticed that my old Sony boom box was on and the radio was playing.

Wendy, my ex turned off the box and they both went back into the house.

About 30 minutes later they heard music again. The box was playing the radio again.

This happened three times within an hour. So Wendy was a bit freaked out and removed that batteries from the boom box.

It didn't happen again.

Encounter 2

Wendy was home alone doing laundry in the day time.

She opened up the washer door to remove clothes and throw them in the dryer.

Wendy always leaves the washer door open to air out.

She left the laundry room.

When she came back the washer door was closed.

She opened it again.

Left the room.

Came back shortly and the door was closed again.

That time she just left the door closed and walked away.

Encounter 3

Wendy was alone again during the day.

Before she showers she makes sure all the doors and sliding glass door are locked.

We also have a pug in the house. His name is Earl IV. I'm Earl III and since we have daughters the girls wanted the pug to be my namesake. lol He was probably 5 years old when this was going on.

So after she got out the shower and got dressed, she was calling for Earl the pug. Earl wasn't in the house.

Wendy turned the corner into the kitchen and saw the front door wide open!!

She went outside and saw Earl the pug on the front lawn barking and doing circles while playing with some invisible entity.

All of these incidences happened in the day. So I don't know. Again, I haven't seen anything strange here at night.

My oldest daughter Zoe lives here with me until she goes to grad school.

I will confess Zoe does NOT like to go in the garage. She thinks the garage is haunted.

Zo and I have seen Earl the pug frantically bark at the wall in Zoe's bedroom.

He's done that a few times, but it doesn't scare me at all.

One thing did happen with me home alone at night but I didn't think anything of it at the time.

So I remember I was in my den on my Mac probably one night. I had the Warriors game on in the family room.

The light in my den is always on. My door is always open.

So I left the den to check out the Warriors score.

A few minutes later I went back to my den. The light was off and the door was slightly ajar!!

So I thought that was weird because I go back and forth between rooms many many times.

I still don't know.

What do you think????

I've seen The Cult 5 times over many many years.

It's the same Ian every time. He talks on and on like a stoned out Jim Morrison. Seriously.

His voice is still amazing.

The Cult RULE LIVE!!!!!!!

Here you go, Earl - something else from ‘89 like Sonic Temple. Here’s Bowie’s short-lived, though decent band Tin Machine.

This song is especially for you, Prisoner of Love! :P

http://youtu.be/gw4AArFcdsA

Really hard to go wrong with Bowie and Reeves Gabrels on guitar.

Signed,

Thin White Duke

Hahaha!

You know me well. I love Tin Machine!!!! I have both their albums!!! Japan cd pressings!!! LOL!

I am a "Prisoner Of Love!"

Talked to Carly today for an hour. It's going to up to Gavin Newsom now. Once California goes into STAGE 3 we are going go out on a date!

"What did they put in my tea"

BTW Earl, I saw The Cult summer before last and Ian's voice was shit. Had seen them about 4 or 5 years before that and in the early 90s and he sounded great both times. I assumed that his voice was gone but maybe he had a cold or something? When was the last time you saw them?

Earl, I didn’t know where to put this but do yourself a favor and watch this as I bet you’d find it interesting. The guest on there is a sleep expert and he covers dreams, sleep paralysis, and such. I remember you were talking about one of your dreams a few weeks ago but I don’t remember the thread. Anyway, make the time to check it out. Watch it in multiple segments if necessary.

JB!

This is incredible! I will have to find more time to watch the whole thing.

It's interesting about the hotel room sleep where half of your brain doesn't go into deep sleep.

I am a weirdo dude. As you already know.

When I travel, I bring along a black fan. I love the white noise factor either in my bedroom or on the road.

Also I put a pillow over my head and cave into the bed. I sleep like a rock on the road. I still have intense lucid dreams no matter where I sleep on the planet.............

When you watch this you'll find that what's happening in specifically your dreams and how you're sleeping aren't too unusual. It's been a while since I've watch this whole podcast so I'm going to give it another go myself.

Yeah buddy, I totally get it.

My mind is like a pinball machine shot full of white lightning every night.

So, I know this is a public forum, but hey, I've been here to long to care.

I am sure most Rush Forum Members have me on IGNORE anyway!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

So what sucks JB, is that I dream about my ex wife all the time.

Not every night, but for sure a few times a week.

Very intense. Very positive and very amazingly erotic still.

I guess my subconscious won't let the great memories go.

It drives me wild dude.

But I did spend 21 years of my life with her. 18 years were great.

Ugh!!!! Don't worry. I love Wendy but I would NEVER in a million years get back with her.

Tonight we had a small gathering of 6 people for Zoe's college graduation this weekend.

It was just

Me, Zoe, Skylar and Wendy. Then my mom and dad showed up!!!! Wearing masks of course and keeping six feet apart.

But it was SOOOOO COOL!!! My dad is like Howie Mandel on steroids! LOL! So I was so impressed they both came over!!!

So the four of us had take out. A cake.

Yes, I leased a new Toyota Corolla for Zoe. My graduation gift to her. She needed a car dude. It was time.

Zoe is the only 4.0 student athlete in her college. Monterey Bay.

Very proud.

She is going to grad school to get her doctorate.

Beyond proud.

So it was a quick and fun night.

I was surprised and I know it means nothing.

Wendy gave me a big hug goodbye.

I could feel the "Chemistry" go through my soul.

But then I had to quickly shake it off.

I am a nostalgic lucid dreamer.

That means I'm fukked huh JB.

A hopeless romantic who yearns for the past moments of greatness.

I've dated a lot of women over the last five years.

No one so far comes close to my ex.

It's life buddy.

I have no regrets.

I'm sad as I type this. But I'm good.

Love you.

Love you.

That's a lot to say on an open forum. Then again, you've always done that

That's pretty cool about Zoe. She sounds like the kind of kid who's bound for great things. "I don't believe in destiny" but from here it looks like she's got "a radar fix on the stars".

As for Wendy - I don't know, man. It's best not to compare a past love with a present one...yeah, easier said than done.

Well of course JB!!! I've been very consistent since 2006 when I joined!!!! No one can take that away from me!!! Heart On Sleeve. No filter. No barriers. Cliche. But me!!

I know JB.

I would never compare anyone to the past. Or want what I once had.

It's tough dude.

It is what it is.

One day at a time.

More cliches of life.

Perhaps one day I will meet my second and final wife.

Or perhaps never ever again.

"Easier Said Than Done." Isn't that a Jon Anderson song on a the "Three Ships" Christmas album? I'm reaching buddy.

Cheers!!!

LOVE IS FOR SUCKERS!
