Kansas - Point Of Know Return
Styx - Cornerstone

Honestly this record might be Dennis DeYoung's greatest work as a singer.

A mixed bag on the Saturday boozed up jukebox -

Benefit by Jethro Tull. Only their third album - an underrated gem.

Monuments by The Vintage Caravan. The latest release by a band steeped in '70s heavy psychedelia. Recommended.

Posted Image
Rattrapante is the latest release by prog outfit Cosmograf. I think it's their best yet.

Finally the classic Lights Out by UFO. It doesn't get any better than this.

Initially limited to a Japanese and Canadian release. Not a great representation  of the tour or live work by the band. There's a very nice audience tape (probably a Mr. Peach recording) from the same tour in Nagoya that I prefer - I listened to that right after this.

This next week I will be immersed in the 40th Anniversary Edition of "A". Took delivery of it today and just watched the "Slipstream" video.

Primus - They Can't All Be Zingers
Helmet - Unsung:  The Best Of Helmet (1991-1997)
Deftones - Deftones
Faith No More - Album Of The Year
Tom Petty - Finding Wildflowers:  Alternate Versions

I had forgotten the latter was coming out and that it got released separately and digitally on streaming last Friday.

Last nights jukebox -

Posted Image
I listened to the studio stuff (I will do the live show today hopefully).
I was never a big fan of A but I think the remix has breathed a bit of life into it.
These Tull/Steven Wilson collaborations really are the benchmark for which all reissues should be measured.
Like Songs From The Wood, Heavy Horses and Stormwatch, you also get a full live show from the corresponding tour. I wish Rush would do that.

Posted Image
As far away from Tull as you can possibly get - but great fun!

Posted Image
Breakfast In America was Supertramp's commercial peak. Chock full of really good songs.

Posted Image
Finally The Art Of Losing by The Anchoress.
Hard to categorise ... a bit proggy in a Kate Bush sort of way. Certainly worth investigating.
