Queen-The Miracle (5/10)

I don't like most of the Single choices off this record. aside from I Want it all.

and the album tracks run the gauntlet of Great (was it all Worth it) to awful (party, Kashoggi's Ship)  I do like Breakthru as well.

Very mixed bag record.

My least favorite Queen album.  Yes, I prefer Hot Space over it. I Want It All is great, though.

Deftones:

B Sides And Rarities
Saturday Night Wrist
Diamond Eyes
Covers

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - You're Gonna Get It!
Smashing Pumpkins - Mashed Potatoes bootleg
Blondie - Parallel Lines

Queen-A Kind of Magic (7/10)

A fine pop album.  much of it a soundtrack for the Highlander film.  so quite a bit of filler but better than i remember.

The first 2 tracks are classics.

Mick

Apparently, the sax on track 3 is done by the same guy behind the iconic solo in Carless Whisper.

Judas Priest-Sad Wings of Destiny (9/10)

an Improvement over Rock A Rolla in every way.  it's odd hearing Priest as an almost 70's  prog lite outfit before becoming anthem Rockers.  but this style fits them too.

Halford Is also more confident vocally.

I really love Rock A Rolla, it's such a strange album when you consider where they went later.

As for this album, a classic for a reason!

But I actually think they improve even further on the next few albums.

Fleet Foxes- Fleet Foxes (10/10)
Fleet Foxes- Helplessness Blues (10/10)
Fleet Foxes- Crack-Up (10/10)
Fleet Foxes- Shore (10/10)

Everything this band has done is a gift to me. I've said for years that they are one of my favourite bands, and every time a new album comes along, I'm left absolutely enthralled.

You could argue that they are my favourite band of the twenty first century, but I don't even think of them like that. They are music, and they hit me on a level I can't explain.

Four albums, a handful of exquisite EP's, this band is my everything and I love them without any reservations.
