78jazz
I realize this is still fairly new, but has anyone picked this up or read it? I am quite the Entwistle fan, but I wonder how much this book is just a jab on him by his first wife (I don't think the whole book is like this, but maybe some of it is). I will probably end up with a copy of this book anyway.

78jazz
But did he believe in everything? Or was his success story different?
grep
I met him, and he was a kind gentleman. Others who've met him have said similar things. His personal life? Who the hell knows what was going on? TBH, I'd trust Townsend or someone from the organiation more to talk about Thunderfinger's career and success than any family member. Ex-wife or whoever. Because then at least he'd be taking the band and business POV, and band drama. Rather then being driven by memories of family drama.
78jazz
Yep. That is why I wonder how balanced this book will be.
vaportrailer
There's a thread about the book on the Steve Hoffman music forum. Might be some "spoilers" in there, but should give a pretty good picture as to what to expect:https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/the-ox-by-paul-rees-first-biography-of-the-whos-john-entwistle.936764/
