So Rush Forum Family!

I know we've probably done this before but it's time to start fresh.

I personally lucid dream of RUSH a lot in my lifetime.

Well I would like to read some of your lucid dreams about RUSH.

Please post them here if you would like.

I had a very intense and incredible dream about RUSH last night. It's very surreal so bare with me. I write crazy anyway, well I lucid dream crazy too. lol

So in my dream, I was at some Indian Casino with my parents. I had four Rush tickets to see their final show in some intimate indoor venue at the casino.

My mom, dad and I go into the venue. I had a fourth ticket in my pocket. My best buddy Nick was going to meet us there for the show.

So we have a nice table on the floor. I see Neil setting up his drum set. It was his standard Tama black kit with the double bass. His drumming head gear was on but then I realized something strange.

Neil was wearing black and white face paint. Stripes on his face. I looked over to my right and there was Geddy and Alex tuning up. They too were both wearing black and white striped face paint.

I instantly thought of the song "Warpaint" in my dream.

But then I had to go to the men's room to take a leak.

So I told my mom and dad that I would be right back.

I left the venue and went into the casino.

As I was heading to the men's room I realized that it was an actual entrance to go on a rollercoaster ride down a very narrow chute.

So I suddenly slipped down this strange narrow tube. It was only going downward and I thought I was going to hit my head.

When I reached the bottom of the ride I got out and was suddenly in a parking lot. I asked someone for help as I was lost.

I had to get back to the Rush concert, it was their last show and I didn't want to miss the first few songs.

I was running around some strange shopping mall trying to "Find My Way." But I was lost. I had Nick's Rush ticket in my pocket, so now I was stressing that he wouldn't get in to see the show.

I saw this freeway and I honestly forgot the name of the Casino. So I took out my iPhone and was going not Uber back to the show.

As I pulled out my phone about ten hundred dollar bills fell out of my left pocket.

I picked them back up.

Then I saw this taxi cab pull up with some high maintenance woman inside with her two children.

As they were getting out of the cab, I asked the driver if he could take me to the casino, When the woman got out of the cab I realized it was my Brazilian girlfriend Rose. She was hot to trot and looked stunning.

But that RUSH show was so much more important at that time.

So I jumped into the cab, we got on the freeway and I woke up.

Never made it back to see Rush play their last show.................

The superstar Madonna is beyond middle-aged (to quote Middletown Dreams). She's in her early 60's now.

Hahaha!

Dude!

I can't believe you mentioned the "middle-aged Madonna.

I took my Brazilian girl down to LA last November the one in m dream. Actually she drove me.

It was an amazing weekend.

Saw Madonna at The Wiltern. She was amazing, and it was a very intimate show. I prefer her first four albums, and the one with "Frozen" on it.

But Madonna was all about South America. Portugal and Brasil. No wonder we went for it.

Rose loved it and I was pleasantly surprised. Glad I saw her. She was X rated in banter that night but wasn't very political. It was refreshing.

That Sunday we got up and we drove to Magic Mountain. It was Rose's idea. So fun.

I love this kind of girl, and she is obviously still in my subconscious.

But man, I still have no regrets and Madonna looked HOT in November.

Signed,

"True Blue" lol

Had a dream that me and my family were in LA and me and my dad saw a newspaper ad for the rush presto tour coming to LA the next day. We got tickets and the concert was sick.

had a recurring dream in the late 90's and early 2000's that I was at a Rush show in a small indoor amphitheater.

No more than 30 rows all the way around 3/4 of the stage. Almost a small theater in size. I was close.

The amazing thing was that the music they were playing was Rush, but it was songs that we've never heard before. Like, alternate reality Rush.

No - I don't remember any of the music. I wish I did, believe me.

Edit: These days I have the same kind of recurring dream. It's seeing DT open for Rush at some big stadium in New Jersey. It feels like the Meadowlands, and where the Meadowlands is, in Rutherford. But it's not.

Then leaving that show, and driving down to Sayerville to see DT again in the same night, in a ridiculously small club. A secret show kind of thing. The Sayerville club doesn't exist either.

Very lucid. I wake up thinking that I've dreamed about shows I've been to.

I know it's my subconscious. But If I didn't know any better I'd be thinking that I've lived in another reality for a little while. That's how real my dreams are sometimes.

That's incredible grep!! I've had dreams seeing Rush live in my old elementary school cafeteria recently and back then I didn't even know who Rush was!! But yes! Same! Rush was on this tiny stage and they were playing music that I have never heard before! I actually woke up humming the riff in my brain.

But then forgot it!!

I had a Rush dream a few years back. They announced a gig in our very small church hall and I was totally excited and in fear that I would miss the gig. Turns out the show actually happened and I was the only one in attendance. Must have been the Rush from the early 1980's cause Alex wore his red blazer. As soon as they started playing I woke up, I immediately tried to fall asleep again cause I wanted to see that show. No chance, it was gone. Damn!

About two or three years ago I had the weirdest TRF dream. I was sitting at a bar in some kind of mountain lodge. Very rustic-style furnishing and a great panoramic view when looking outside the window. YYZumbi was there and he was selling LP's. I couldn't see his face but I knew it was him because the dream said so. Someone came in at the door and it was treeduck, well the dream said so because the guy didn't look like treeduck at all. It was a small fat guy with a Billy Idol haircut and he wore an Evel Knievel jumpsuit. He screamed, STOP THIS! I awoke with a start and had a very serious fit of laughter. That night was over.

I dream about them all time.

Dedicated a whole chapter about them in my autobiography.

That's awesome. Same here!

Is your autobiography published? Would like to read it.

When the world was shocked by his sudden passing I uploaded my Rush chapter so my fellow Rushites could read it:

I'm only half way done with my autobiography and still working on it but if you're truly interested I might have an extra copy of 'Part 1' lying around, ha. It's about growing up in the 70's and 80's in South Florida!

Hahahaha! Two awesome dreams brother!! I have tried that too! When you wake up from an incredible dream you try to fall back to sleep into it. It's happened many times for me in my life. I "movie dream" a lot. I should keep a dream log by my bed.

My lucid spirit guide is the ocean. Always dreaming of the ocean waves. When I am running or flying away from something bad I seek the ocean, whether in the daylight or in the night time. Sometimes I even jump in the dark seas and I feel warm and protected.

Crazy. I remember dreams I have had since I was like 6 years old.....................

I wanted to write a novella based on the government eventually taxing you on your lucid dreams. But even Blondie once said... "Dreaming is free....."

About fifteen years ago I lived in this really big old house and we would do Bed and Breakfast on the weekends sometimes......I had this dream that I answered the doorbell and there was stood Geddy and his family asking if I had any free rooms

of course i stood there in shock with my best slackjaw gaze not knowing what the hell to say.

Before I could collect myself, my brother (who lives nearly 200 miles away) walked round the corner saying "pull yourself together man! can't you see the man need a room!"

Then I woke up.....weird.

Had a weird one last night!

My Rush dreams typically consist of me hanging out with them and not watching them play but last night was different.

I was at a very small concert (not even sure where it was, felt like Toronto, although I have never been there in my life, ha) and it was their first concert since's Neil's passing to introduce their new drummer but they put up barriers so you couldn't see him! They said they wanted to play to small audiences to get a feel for the reception of a new drummer but they wouldn't be revealing his full identity until later. They did say he was a younger guy and a relatively unknown jazz drummer type that no one would be familiar with (the feeling is the guy might have been handpicked by Neil). Also:

- They were still going by Rush because Ged and Alex had been together from the beginning and it's always been Rush.

- Before Neil passed he gave them his blessing to move forward and to continue using the name Rush.

- They DID NOT play ANY Rush songs!!! It was all covers from Feedback and Blues/Rock/Jazz standards! That was very weird but of course it sounded amazing. And the drummers double bass kit had the iconic Starman symbol on them.

- The small intimate tour was called the Walk the Line Tour, or Walkback Tour (Can't really remember, not really sure what that means, ha)

- They announced that there was going to be more live Rush and some more studio work on the way.

All that being said it was incredibly emotional and much of the audience, including me (and sometimes Ged and Alex), were in tears.

Ged and Alex started the whole thing off by dedicating it to their dear friend, Neil Peart, that passed and it was very emotional.

Thought I would just pass this on to all the dreamers and Rush fans out there.

Stay safe out there!
