HemiBeers
Gratuitous plug for the Kalamazoo Academy of Rock. For kids aged 8-18 in the local area. These guys taking on some Allman Bros. The Academy is in it's 10th year of operations. That divey looking rehearsal space they're playing in is the original Kalamazoo Gibson factory where they were originally housed. They have since moved to their own building. I'm plugging this as proof and hope that some kids still get it that music is more than rap, techno or ripping off samples. Here's another brief video with the KAR director describing the Gibson factory. That's the birthplace of Al's 70s Gibsons. After Gibson moved out, Heritage was housed there for years after being started up by ex-Gibson employees. A couple of years ago, the Heritage guys were retiring and sold it to a local real estate development group. They have since whored the place and turned it into just another crappy guitar factory. Gag. Edited February 16, 2020 by HemiBeers
blueschica
The videos are cool, thank you! That's a shame the building couldn't have been turned into a Gibson museum or something.
