I stumbled upon this 2017 interview with guitarist Dave Kilminster here.

Kilminster has toured as a sideman guitarist/vocalist with Steven Wilson, Roger Waters, and the 2002 reformation of Keith Emerson's group The Nice.

He met Alex Lifeson from when Steven Wilson performed at Massey Hall in Toronto.

Also, Dave Kilminster was part of recording a new version of 'The Twilight Zone' with Steven Wilson for the 2112 40th Anniversary Edition box set, which is below. Geddy Lee gave kudos to Kilminster's guitar solo in this version.

He's a great guitar player yeah, not quite Guthrie Govan, Bumblefoot, Buckethead but really impressive and top notch nonetheless.

I follow Kilminster on social media. He's a genuinely nice and well adjusted human being. Can't really say I get that "complete package" impression of "gifted human being with a pulse" from Govan or Buckethead. But yes, they're superior players in their own right. It just isn't all their is to being a successful and respected musician.
