Eddie Van Halen meets Leatherface? Eddie Van Halen meets Ash in EVIL DEAD??? I've been back in a serious TNT phase, and I know many on here don't know of their music or care about it. I've been a TNT fan since I was a kid. No wonder I'm so brainwashed with amazing AOR melodic metal and rock!!! "Knights Of The New Thunders" is an incredible album. Then of course TNT did TELL NO TALES INTUITION And "REALIZED FANTASIES!" Four incredible albums in a row. Not sure if you all can appreciate Tony Harnell. A very high amazing voice. Probably too much for your ears to handle, yet you all love Geddy Lee's voice. So there may be some hope! LOL!!! Anyway, you can hate the melodic metal music I grew up on or actually take some time out of your busy lives and listen to some of it. I will never change! Just trying to turn on some strangers to real rock and roll. Ronni Le is a top ten guitar player period. So underrated and beautiful. I will always fight the uphill battle on here with my passion for eclectic music. You can either make a comment or just put me on IGNORE. Don't care. I prefer "Downhill Racer" by TNT! "RIDE THE WHITE LIGHTNING" RUSH FRUITS!! There is so much more out there than RUSH and YYNOT!!! I am a KNIGHT OF THE NEW THUNDER IN 2019!!!! Old School Metal Never Gets Old!!! UP THE IRONS! In my opinion, he does not have a nice Fair Warning-like brown sound. More of a basic metal tone. Not bad, but nothing special. And do I think he's better than Eddie? Well, he certainly has skills and he's imaginative, but no, not better than Eddie. Again, just my opinion. Eddie has swing and swagger and tone and a keen sense of melody, which I'm not hearing as much from Ronnie. I'll listen to more of him. Sorry, Earl! I would rather compare a young Eddie to a young Ronni. I know Eddie is untouchable. Some think Schenker is better than Eddie. No way. However Michaels' solo on "Rock Bottom" is beyond Epic. I was lucky enough to meet Michael at Yoshi's. He played at a jazz fusion blues soul sushi club in Oakland. He was actually very nice to my buddy and I. He shredded that night. I had front row at a table. Legendary night, however I truly believe that Eddie Van Halen is the greatest guitar player of all time. That being said I would really hope you will listen to some studio recordings by TNT. Ronni Le is exceptional. Those two chaotic guitar solo clips are not the proper justice to his playing.His riffs are incredible. I am surprised you have never heard of him. It's like learning that a few Rush Forum members have never heard of Danny Carey. But hey, that's really why I am here.To spread my wealth and health of rock and roll knowledge to others, while also learning about so much about other music on here. I mean dude, I've been on here for 13 years now? I am sure I would have found Ghost on my own but Pat put up that fateful first thread about Ghost.. I believe it was the "Ritual" video. I fell in love in seconds. Just like I did with many bands. RUSHRYCHECAMELACCEPT On and on..... Listen to some TNT early studio albums and you will did Ronni's chops more. It's not about Ronni's solos. His riffs are magic. Listen to the following albums...... I was caught up in the moment last night watching Ronnni live. Eddie is the best. He went for a bright and not-so-dirty tone on a lot of that. His live sound on ESL, when it wasn't drowned in delay and chorus, was really nice. His solo on Xanadu, for example. Also, his tone on Feedback was nice and raw and warm.
