This makes me feel sad. :(  I had a horrible, boring job at a county park one summer and we got through it by listening to Eddie on a little clock radio. I always liked him.  Rest In Paradise, Eddie, we'll still be listening.  :rose:
From what I've been reading, by the time they discovered the cancer, it was in more places than one.  It said he died from a cancer-related illness, but didn't mention what.

EDIT:  Says he died from complications from heart valve surgery

Hope there were no horses where he was receiving hospice care, but that he received all the water he asked for...

It's taking too many people.

It scares me too.  No one is immune.

Great nostalgia! MTV used to play that tons in the early 80s. Loved watching it as a little 10 year old.

Besides, Apollonia!!!!

Yup, this song was the shit when it was out.  He had a tough guy/cool personae without being a dick.  It's actually not easy to pull off.  Something like Andrew Dice Clay, without all the swearing.

Dying quietly in your sleep has always seemed to me like the best way to go. You don't feel anything and then you're just gone.

I'd rather not die, if given the choice.
Not me. I'm ready to go.  Seriously.

Complex subject.  But I understand, in so few words, what you mean.  ;)

I am so sad.  I love Eddie.  I was friends with his tour manager in the late 80's.  He comped me and friends a few times to catch Eddie in South Lake Tahoe.

RIP!

I've got "One Ticket To Paradise."  Heading up to RENO on AMTRAK to see GHOST.
