With the Camping World Kickoff between Miami and Florida tonight, NCAA football begins anew. I'll be hanging at the Hollywood (FL) Ale House with my brethren Caines fans.

Will Dabo and Clemson repeat, or Evil Nick Saban arise again?

Will Jim Harbaugh beat Ohio State and get that monkey off his back?

How will your favorite team fare? Lets have at it! :dweez:

My favorite team is Indiana. They're gonna go 5-7 and 2-7 like they do every year. Nothing to see here.

Kentucky had a pretty good season last year, but it's a tough conference, and I'm normally just killing time until basketball season. We'll see.

I suppose now that I've got a child at Mizzou I should root for them, but . . . I just can't. Sorry, tiggers.

Good game last night, but just too many stupid penalties by Miami doomed them. Big raucous crowd at the Ale House.

I was at a restaurant while this game was playing on the bar TV’s, and I saw Camping World on the screen and thought it was a repeat of a bowl game from last season.

:P

I’m no Gator fan, but anyway, I’ll just say that the Miami Hurricanes have always been the best team that drug money can buy! ;)

And now I’ll be on my way...

Wow. Purdue must be in a "re-building" season. ;)

Clemson started off defending the pre-season #1 quite nicely and UCF kicked the crap out of yet another school so they'll probably drop to 16th in the polls. They're the Rodney Dangerfield of college football.

Anybody who beats Purdue is alright in my book!

Didn't that kicker win a scholarship for his kick, too? So it's a feel-good, feel-good story.

No respect, no respect. I misread the Wisconsin-USF scoreline and thought the Badgers had pummeled UCF. "That's the end of that run," I thought, but then noticed I had the wrong school in mind.

Longitudinally, USF is all of about 50 miles south of UCF yet they're the University of Southern Florida. There's a whole lot of state south of them.

Yes, he did. The coach announced it after the game.

Plus, one of my buddies got on Sportcenter!

Then there's Indiana football. During the week during a practice at Lucas Oil, they had Pat MacAfee hooked into the scoreboard to tell their kickoff specialist they were putting him on scholarship.

Then the game happened and he kicked two kickoffs out of bounds.

With 00:02 to go, Army with a shot at a 45yd field goal to upset #7 Michigan...

The snap...the kick...

Wide right. On to OT at Ann Arbor, tied 14-14.

Regardles of outcome, this has to be considered a loss for Michigan ar home.

Army did take Oklahoma to OT last year so its not as bad for THE University of Michigan as it might seem. But, its definitely not good.

hail to the victors. or something.

:boo hiss: Michigan.

As unimpressive a "win" as can be. Barely make it to OT. In double overtime, at home, can't get the TD and lucks out with an Army turnover.

Watch them jump to #5 or 6. lol

From Aug 2...

...it'd be dishonest of me while writing a post like this to ignore that Michigan is slightly overrated to start the season. The Wolverines will start at No. 7 while Florida, the team that beat them 41-15 in the Peach Bowl in December, starts at No. 8. Does that seem right to you? Plus, during Harbaugh's tenure with the Wolverines, they're 1-9 against top 10 teams. So while I believe Michigan is going to finish in the top five and possibly reach the CFP, I have a hard time putting it this high when it has performed so poorly against teams of this caliber in recent years.

Word.
