Inspired by the celebating the eighties thread and by the Geoff Tate bashing that was going on lately...

Which version do you prefer?

Dalbello vs Queensrÿche

Queensryche.

This is the first time I have ever heard the original. Far more familiar with the Queensryche version. Dallbello does the vocals in a more raw and creepy way but there is just no beating Tate's voice back then.

No doubt about that man! Tate was fing great. Rage For Order was killer when it came out. Even harder for me to vote for Dalbello, but I grew up with her original version from 1984 up to 1986, until the cover came out. Dalbello was played in all the clubs and also in everybody's living room.

Crazy times...

:blah: The Carpenters

They’re bashing Tate? Aren’t they dead?

So sorry. I wasn't answering your question. i was trying to be funny because they did a song Close To You. Did I fail again?

Did you wish your comrade TonyR a happy birthday? http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/108085-awww-its-tonyrs-birthday/

I've decided by voting for "Queensryche - Gonna Get Close to You". With, and when it was the original lineup, they were at their prime, and peak, who looked, and sounded great. Edited by Derek19
