In hindsight, a major reason why this is still my favorite Beatles album. They'd been getting amazing production and really cool sounds throughout the 60s, but it wasn't till Abbey Road that their songs gained a timeless studio sheen that still sounds fresh today.

It’s a travesty that Aja wasn’t mentioned until #10.

 

There’s no way that an album like Achtung Baby should be ranked higher than Aja, especially for production values.

 

Nothing against U2, and I like that album. But jeesh.
