1. Hot Space - Queen

I'll get the one out of the way that y'all expect me to put up here.

1. Hot Space - Queen

2. In Through The Out Door - Zep

3. Zooropa - U2

4. Monster - REM

5. Load - Metallica

6. Van Halen - Diver Down

Yeah, yeah...it's loaded with covers. But the covers are genius, and beginning to end this may be the best collection of Eddie's full range of playing styles.

shame Whisky In The Jar didn't make it on the album (though it's now a bonus track on the deluxe edition), and many of the songs are a bit...unruly...but that's just charming to me. And the guitar work is incredible! I also love hearing Phil's playing in the power trio format.

Are we supposed to be building a list here, or just naming off albums? I hope it's the latter (even though I was a follower above ;))

Guns N Roses -Use Your Illusion 1 & 2. I get it. They're bloated. Because the CD had emerged as the dominant format, so you didn't need to cut songs to make it onto a vinyl side.

And because every tune on both albums has something redeeming about it. :)

I love this album, despite the dated keyboards and Simmons pads.

And there's this aural abortion of a song:

Still - I love the album.

I have problems.

Because of Lorraine's Thread.

Minute By Minute-The Doobie Brothers.

one could argue the flaw is Michael Mcdonald :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :laughing guy:

Well I like listing things so we don't get oo many repeats, but I can't control what you guys do.

What do you mean by despite its flaws?

Like, name an album that you love, even though you recognize it's not a perfect record and/or could obviously be better.

No you don't; AWBH (and L) is an aural masterpiece. But Teakbois will always be a steaming pile!

Feel better now?

Yes - Fragile

sue me, but the solo songs just aren't as good as the full band pieces and they break up the flow of the album

but I love it anyway. Not like there's anything BAD on here (although I'm not sure "5 percent for nothing" is good)

...ah yes, the other part of the reason I like doing one at a time lists, lol.

It doesn't matter, I always love Segue's enthusiasm! :)

YES recorded their version of "America" around the same time as Fragile. Now while i enjoy the short solo songs, imagine Fragile with America instead of those short individual songs!

Roundabout

Long Distance Runaround

South Side of the Sky

America

Heart of the Sunrise

That would be one of the greatest albums of all-time!!!!!
