....besides fat & drunk Thor ....

Don't you mean Thor Lebowski?  It turns out that Peter Quill was right.  Thor isn't a man.  He's a Dude.  ;)

A character as fun as Lebowski shouldn’t be connected to a character that’s been messed with as much as MCU Thor

My problem is that I couldn’t stand the Big Lebowski.  I loathe those types of films.  That made it doubly worse for me.  :(

What are “those types of films”?

Dumb losers being dumb and dumber, getting deeper and deeper into trouble, constant F-bombs...... :boo hiss: :boo hiss:

A major deleted scene: The Russos filmed a scene with a dying Tony Stark having a death-vision from an older Morgan, who gave him her blessing.  It was similar to the Soul Stone vision Thanos had from Gamora.

Endgame needs a mere 594 million dollars in more revenue to become the #1 grossing film.

Currently at about $250 mill more to pass Avatar.

You still really believe that these Avengers movies are going to stop despite all the money it’s making?...Despite all the interconnected storylines and characters?...Despite the team roster itself being one that constantly changes?

Principled, do you think that going to see "the Avengers: Endgame" three times in about, almost, and nearly only a week, and a half is a bit too much?  I might not expect you to be answering that question.  For you going to see it three times in that amount of days, looks, and sounds like you do like it a lot.  As for "Scarlett Johansson" as "Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow", and "Brie Larson" as "Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel", I haven't had any problems, issues, and complaints about those two actresses portraying those characters.  I've liked both actresses, and I think, and feel they are very good ones.  About "the Avengers: Endgame", with "Thor" looking fat, and an alcoholic, I minded that.  He should've looked the same as he did in "Thor", "Thor: the Dark World", and "Thor: Ragnarok".  Now, I can read all of the spoilers in, and on this thread because of me going to see it, and watched it in 3-D in, and at the theatres.

It was not too much.  I usually see huge blockbusters - the ones I really like - with different people. I saw Endgame on opening night with a buddy, then on Sunday with my family, and then with other friends in Minneapolis the following weekend.  Three times was good.  I'll be buying the Blu-ray in August, so I can watch it again anytime.

I saw Interstellar twice, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi twice, Infinity War three times, and Saving Private Ryan (1998) four times.  When a film really blows me away, I have no problem seeing it on the big screen several times.

I saw it last night with my wife and daughter (she's 12). We were all somewhat disappointed. As far as MCU movies go, it's middle of the pack for us.

My daughter's criticism were "they rushed the first part" and "the way Scott escapes the quantum realm was really stupid".

Sure there were some laughs and moments where it tugged at your heart strings, but overall, it was kinda' "meh" for us. Certainly nowhere near the hype.

Things the movie should have explained from Infinity War: why was the gauntlet so damaged when Thanos did the original snap? Why did Hulk refuse to "come out"?

I agree with your daughter about Lang escaping the quantum realm. Imagine Doc Strange’s reaction when he saw that one possibility of them winning...”We’re saved by a f***ing rat?!”

The gauntlet was destroyed due to all the stones being used at once. Just too much power. But since you and your family didn’t see that then I’d have to say yeah the MCU didn’t do a very good job of explaining it.

As for Hulk refusing to come out...I took it as he felt like he only got time “outside” when he was needed. He felt like he was being used / exploited for his brawn. If that is the reason, and I’m pretty sure it was, then it IS a lame one. And again, they didn’t explain very well what was up with that.

Final grade after two viewings: B-
The weakest of the Avengers films despite my satisfaction with Iron Man & Cap in it.

:blaze:
My take on The Hulk not coming out was that he was embarrassed and scared after Thanos beat the shit out of him so easily. Before that he was used to doing the smashing, not being smashed.
I was sure that The Hulk would get payback in End Game but was very disappointed that never happened. I was very disappointed with The Hulk throughout the whole movie.
I liked that Thor totally let himself go and was pretty much just a total loser. He lost everything and it showed a whole other side to him in a sad and humorous way. I thought the movie was good overall but it certainly could have been much better.

Hulk being scared and embarrassed doesn’t make sense since that’s not what Hulk does.

It turns out the directors give the same reason I gave earlier for the Hulk not coming out:

Thanks for sharing that video. It totally seemed out of character for the Hulk to be embarrassed and scared to me but I was just basing that theory on other things that were out of character for him. Like the fact that he was living the life of rockstar in the last Thor movie or the that Thanos just threw him around like a rag doll. It's been over 35 years since I read a Hulk comic book but I used to read a lot of them when I was a kid and I don't recall him ever being beaten that easily or ever being so full of himself like he was in the Thor movie.I am not saying that that kinda stuff never happened but not in anything I ever read.

An Extended Version of Avengers: Endgame is to be released soon.

While attending the Spider-Man: Far From Home press junket in London, ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis spoke exclusively with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who confirmed that Avengers: Endgame was heading back to the big screen for a theatrical re-release. Not only that, but this version of the film will arrive with extra scenes that weren't included in the first theatrical release.

"We are doing that," Feige said of an Endgame re-release with new footage. "I don't know if it's been announced. And I don't know how much... Yeah, we're doing it next weekend."

So Avengers: Endgame is coming back to a big screen near you with new footage, which is an incredibly exciting announcement given the hype around the movie. What's even more exciting is the fact that the film is arriving next weekend, allowing fans to see it again before Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The extended version is apparently nothing more than extra end-credits stuff and more tributes to Stan Lee.

I'll pass.

Same. Apparently, just 7 minutes extra tacked on after the credits

At, and around the cities, where I've lived, it's been in theatres, too, left last week, and on Fri., it'll be back, but not in 3-D.  For watching, and seeing it in, and at the theatres, again, I'm not going to, too, and another reason is with it not in 3-D.

Avengers: Endgame just may break the all-time record for box-office revenue. It has a mere $5,982,475 to go. :o

It’s been announced that Thor 4 is being made. Waititi is returning in the director's seat. Sooooo, more comedy Thor is on its way.
I hate this style of Thor but Waititi and Hemsworth love it.

I heard that they’re getting married.  ;) ;)

Thor the Buffoon.  It’s a disgraceful way to treat one of the best, strongest and manliest superheroes ever.

About "the Avengers: Endgame" being $5,982,475 away from breaking the all-time record for box-office revenue, and there will be a Thor 4, I thought I've seen, and heard those two things, too.

It’s all about money with little thought to character integrity at this point. Also, since the MCU is earning more now than ever, the character butchering will continue and intensify. Damn shame.

According to the box office numbers on-line, "the Avengers: Endgame" is the highest money making movie of all-time.
