The doctors we're trying to reanimate him and with success at first but then his system shot down again and there was nothing more they could do for him, he died of a heart attack.

"My sincere condolences go out to his family, particularly Sandra.

I don’t know UFO very well, but Lights Out is a great record, and Rush haven’t been shy to compliment them as tour mates. RIP

Saw UFO in 1993 on the reunion tour (Stefan-Hartmann Halle, Tübingen). They played the whole Strangers album in its entirety and they nailed it to the last note! Unforgettable, magical night!

They were a phenomenon!

This is very sad Pat. I was away for the weekend visiting my oldest daughter in Monterey. Beautiful down there.

I got a text from one of my best friends about this terrible loss.

I have a free comp pass to see UFO with SAINT because my buddy is friends with John Bush. Was going to get backstage and hang with everyone.

This is horrible timing.

RIP PAUL! Glad I saw him three times in my life.

On that sad note, I must confess that I found out THE WHO are also playing on October 9th in San Francisco at the new Chase Center.

As a Pete Townshend addict I had to buy tickets for that and pass on UFO and Saint.

I will say I saw UFO on their last North American Tour and it was awful.

Phil looked and sounded wigged out on Jack and quaaludes. So sad.

Then Vinnie Moore tried to do the "Rock Bottom" guitar solo and my friends and I left during that crap.

Paul Chapman and Atomic Tommy are better than Moore.

Give me Gary Moore. RIP!

Paul was soooooooooo underrated.

I was just talking to a buddy of my last week and he was telling me that Pauls key parts make UFO WEAK and too poppy.

I was going to "pop" him in the chin. Of course I didn't but what a joke.

Paul's melodic keys made that band.

Fukkkin sad as I just went through a UFO "Electric Phase" last week.

I just put on "Strangers In The Night" for Paul.

You know? It really pisses me off.

It's the final UFO Tour and the set list looks awful. JMO

Why wouldn't the band just play "Strangers In The Night" all the way through?

Are they really going to get a rental keyboard player or cancel the tour????

Sorry, I feel bad, but my heart is with Townshend, Daltry and Starkey..........

Fukk I think I just responded to the other Paul Thread.

I'm happy Paul has two threads.

He deserves it.

So underrated as a musician.

You know he wrote a lot of the songs on "Lights Out" and "Obsesson." Genius.

Thank God I saw him three times in UFO.

I wish The Who and UFO weren't playing on the same night in SF.

I'm bummed.

Alas I have to see Pete and Roger one last time instead.
