Ozzy postpones all 2019 shows

My gut tells me there's more to this than is being released to the public. Feels like he's in a battle with a disease like cancer or something along those lines. Only a gut feeling. I have NOTHING to base that on that is factual.

Ozzy has been cancelling and rescheduling dates for almost every tour since 1991. Not sure how you jump to something like cancer when it says he injured himself in a fall at home. It's more than likely that his age and all he's done to his body has finally caught up with him. If it was out of the ordinary for him to postpone shows then I would be more concerned. I got the same feeling, similarly based on nothing except how older people around me have sometimes tried to make light of a serious medical event. I hope I'm wrong and that he has a good recovery.

The man hasn't been able to move faster than a quick shuffle on stage for quite a while now. I'm fully willing to believe he has some physical limitations that were exacerbated by a fall.

Doesn't Ozzy have some mild form of Parkinson's disease? I know he has some kind of issues that cause his hands to tremor. Bottom line is that he has toured for far longer than he should have. Should have stopped after the last Sabbath show. There's no reason for a 70 year old man who has had many health issues for years due to excessive drug and alcohol abuse should be going out on full tours. I know Sharon saved Ozzy's life but f**k that bitch for continuing to drive him into the ground with unnecessary touring over the last 15 years.

This is just sad. I'm glad I saw the No More Tears Tour with Alice In Chains and Layne singing his ass off in a fuckking wheelchair. EPIC concert.

Then I saw the Ozzmosis Tour. Fuckking Ozzy walked off the stage 45 minutes in to the show. It was over and fuckked.

Then I bought three third row seats to see OZZY with my mom and dad.

Then it changed to July 27th 2019.

But I already had STYX and Night Ranger tix at my parents favorite Indian Casino that same night.

So I am relieved.

So I just got the ticketbastard alert that Ozzy has rescheduled the show with Stone Sour ( a band I fuckking hate) on July 25th 2020.

WTF?

That is so far in advance.

Will OZZY be alive then?

Hell I told my 82 year young dad that today and he joke around saying, "Fuckk son, am I going to be alive to see OZZY?" My dad is EPIC and I am just like him! F IT!

It is what it is.

I honestly am glad he cancelled this year.

I would rather gamble with my mom and dad and see STYX and Night Ranger.

Sorry Duck!

I know you hate STYNX

I love them.

Minus GOWAN and I can't stand Dennis too.

Everything from the Wooden Nickel recording to Paradise Theater are great.

Minus

"Babe."

I hate that song.

OZZY RULES!

Regardless of his downfalls.

Why don't you humans live a little and watch "THE DIRT."

It's a fun movie.

It's in my top ten of all time!! YUP!!!

Rush fans need to let go and move on.

Will Netflix ever do a movie based on RUSH?

You know Neil will never sign off on his tragedies.

Love,

Tom Hanks

I have seen, and heard about what Ozzy had to do. It's a shame what he needs, and has to go through. I really hope he will be looking after himself including his health, so for sure, he will be able to recover from it. In a person's, and people's life, it should be number one because of given one life to live. I've liked Styx, Night Ranger, and Lawrence Gowan, but since Dennis DeYoung wasn't in the band, and group Styx anymore, and Lawrence Gowan joined in it, I've minded that. With Dennis DeYoung, I do prefer him in the band, and group. Edited by Derek19

If Stone Sour is the opener instead of Megadeth I may well get a refund. One of the draws to going to the show was to see Megadeth and Ozzy.

Edit: the show listing on Ticketbastard for my show which is Portland Oregon next summer still says Megadeth. I may well call Ticketbastard to verify.

And by the way I still stand by my gut feeling with absolutely no facts on which to basic that he is sicker then we are being told.

What's wrong with Stone Sour? Yeah, they're no Megadeth but they're still one of the few very good hard rock bands out there over the last 15 years. Corey Taylor is a great vocalist with tremendous passion and ability to write a melodic hook.

Yet, Keith Richards is fine....

Anyway, I just got a refund for my tickets, pretty bummed, but can use the money right now (for other shows, lol)...I'll decide what to do about him next year, I just hope he's still around and in one piece!

I am keeping my ticket! I got a VIP ticket, so I will be on the soundcheck. I am sure he return soon!

The standing joke is that the only living things that would survive worldwide nuclear holocaust would be cockroaches and Keith Richards. Not so sure it wouldn't actually be true.

It's a Denis Leary joke? Or was that cutting up Keith Richards and smoking him to get high?

Hahaha! "Ticketbastard." The universal pun for a shit company. Been saying that term for decades.

I fuckking hate Stone Sour. I'm taking my parents so I take them out to a nice dinner first and miss the opener.

I'm wondering if it's something more serious too. The concerning part is that they don't expect him to be recovered for a whole year. That's a *long* time, even for broken bones. Could allow time for chemo though. The question is IF Ozzy had cancer, would they tell the public or conceal it? Seems like it would be difficult to keep under wraps since a lot of people in the rock music industry know him or have worked with him.

I know some people still want to see Ozzy perform and I hope you'll get to. But IMO, he really should have stopped already. He's already done farewell tours with each of his bands. At some point, you have to look at it like Neil Peart and acknowledge that while it's tough to say goodbye, your health and being able to enjoy your remaining years is more important than the profits from another concert tour.

That's easy for us to say, and I happen to agree completely with you, but it seems to me that these men have ants in their pants. They're so used to being out on the road for 30/40/50 years that to call it a day and to stay home is almost impossible for them to do. I also think the adulation they receive is addictive.

Who would win a fight between Dennis DeYoung and Barry Manilow and how would it go down?

What you're saying is completely true and I know that Ozzy does hate sitting at home. And it's understandable how that adulation could give such a high that you'd want to keep getting it no matter what.

Neil is really a unique animal in that he couldn't seem to care less about the adulation and he listened when his body told him it's time to stop. Although I was sad to see Rush end, I admire him for doing what he thought was best for himself and sticking to it. Not many can.

The Police did it too. Quit at the peak of their career. Even though they hated one another at that point, it still had to have been hard to just walk away from it all.
