Principled Man
The Brew Crew is off to a good start! 3 of 4 from the Cardinals and sweeping the Reds in Cincinnati. 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich is leading the way, hitting homers in the first four games. The sensational Josh Hader is mowing down hitters with his blazing fastball and deceptive delivery. The Brewers seek to take the next step this year, now that they've proven to the League that they are solid contenders! :haz: :haz: :haz: Starting Pitchers:Jhoulys ChacinFreddy PeraltaBrandon WoodruffCorbin BurnesZach Davies Relief Pitchers:Josh Hader [2018 NL Reliever of The Year]Junior GuerraAlex WilsonChase AndersonAlex ClaudioJeremy JeffressCorey Knebel (Tommy John surgery :( ) LF Ryan Braun, Ben GamelCF Lorenzo CainRF Christian Yelich [2018 NL Most Valuable Player] 1B Jesus Aguilar, Eric Thames2B Mike MoustakasSS Orlando Arcia, Hernan Perez3B Travis Shaw C Yasmani Grandal, Manny Pina Manager Craig Counsell
Principled Man
After the first 10 games of the season, the Brewers are doing well at 8-2, and have won all three series, beating the Cardinals, Reds and Cubs. As expected, Christian Yelich is leading the way with his big bat and all-around great game. Reliever Josh Hader is unblemished so far. Manager Craig Counsell went all in today, having Hader get EIGHT outs to beat the Cubs and win the 3-game series. Even in early April, beating the Cubs is IMPORTANT. :haz: :haz: http://www.baseballamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Josh-Hader-2015-mj.jpg

Principled Man
After a week off due to back soreness, Christian Yelich acted like he never left. A booming 2-run homer to put the Brewers up by three. The Brewers need Yelich back in a big way. Their struggling pitching staff has been giving up a LOT of runs. Until they get better, the Brewers will have to outscore everyone!!
Principled Man
Brewers' pitcher Brandon Woodruff had himself quite a day. Not only did he come very close to a perfect game, but he also went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's in the Brewers' 9-1 thumping of the Phillies. Woodruff mowed down the first 15 Philly batters, but a home run on a pretty good pitch ruined his bid for perfection. He finished the day going 8 innings, with 10 strikeouts on only 97 pitches (73 strikes). His only blemish was the home run by catcher Andrew Knapp. Woodruff hasn't had a bad outing in over a month. He's 7-1 with 75 K's in 64 innings. He's quickly becoming a STUD. :haz: :haz:
Principled Man
Brewers 6Astros 3 (14 Innings) Not even 24 - yes, twenty-four - strikeouts could stop the Brewers from winning a tough game in Houston. Facing Justin Verlander on one of his good days, the Brewers struck out again and again and again.....except for three solo homers (Braun, Grandal, Thames). Down 3-2 in the 7th, Erik Thames hit a pitch up and away for an amazing opposite field homer to tie the game. That did it for Verlander, who fanned 15 Brewers in 7 innings. The tie lasted until the 14th, when Mike MOOOOOstakas hit his 21st homer to put the Crew up 5-3. Moustakas has been a godsend for the Brewers this year. He's giving Christian Yelich some good competition for team MVP!

Principled Man
Christian Yelich looks like he's over his week-long slump! He hit #30 last night and #31 a few minutes ago. He's on pace to hit 58 homers with 126 RBI's. He's broken Prince Fielder's Brewer record (29) for most home runs before the All Star break. :haz: :haz: :haz: Edited July 3, 2019 by Principled Man

Principled Man
Brewers down 4-1 in the 8th. A Grand Slam for Tyler Saladino, who has been struggling to stay in the Big Leagues. With his 2nd grand slam in as many games, he puts the Brewers up 5-4 after 8 innings. But then that BUM Jeremy Jeffress gives up an easy 2-run bomb in the 9th to secure the Loss. :rage:

Principled Man
22-year old rookie KESTON HIURA is putting MLB on notice. He's here to HIT!! This kid from California is hitting everything in sight, even off the Cubs' prized closer, Craig Kimbrel. Down 2-0, the Crew tied it up in the 8th (thanks to Hiura's RBI double), but went down 3-2 in the 10th after a Cubs homer. Not to be denied, the Brewers' Christian Yelich started off with an opposite field homer off of Kimbral to tie the game. Yeah, Yelich is still hittin' 'em out! #36!! One walk later, Hiura hits a 1-2 curveball from Kimbrel screaming just over the fence in right field. WALK OFF!! Nova Carmina
I hope your plan is to trade wins with the Cubs, because just losing is a risky strategy! (and does the Cardinals no good!)

Principled Man
Any predictions for the game tonight? If they’re consistent, they’ll blow this 4-0 lead, give me more grey hair, and maybe pull it out late.
