Xanadu wins it for me!  Both are excellent, though.

I love the first 4-5 minutes of Xanadu, and 2112's Overture, Temples, Discovery and Priests.  2112's best parts give it the win for me.

2112 by far. It means to much to me, and it is a epic story!

Xanadu is far from metal, it's mostly soft. 2112 is heavy and close to metal.  :)

Well that didn't have anything to do with why I voted for 2112 believe it or not. I just went for the more epic song. Xanadu is epic but 2112 is EPIC!

Love the story of 2112, and the power of it. And the quiet bits. Yep, all of it.

Xanadu by Olivia Newton John (duh)...

Just kidding, Xanadu (by Rush) all day everyday.

2112 - pretty important track -- all cylinders a-go, full bombast, Geddy just going for it vocally (it is one of the best vocal performances of the 70s).

HOWEVER

No tubular bells, no cowbells, no double-necks, no volume swells, no foot pedals, and no references to Kublai Khan and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Xanadu wins.

2112

...although I'd take the ESL version of Xanadu over the abbreviated version of 2112 from ATWAS...(Alex's live intro is epic)  :D

It's up against 2112, which is tough competition.
