I find Floyd a bit of a baffling ordeal, although I've tried a few times to overcome this. Not Tom's greatest but I like the breakdown in the middle - like a guitar solo but one everybody can play along too :D

I like the PF song, but it’s nowhere near their best. Tom is such a consistent songwriter that his deep cuts are usually nearly as good as his hits, and this hit is great. Not his best, sure, but closer to I Won’t Back Down than the PF song is to Comfortably Numb.

APPLES AND ORANGES ENJOY MUSIC!!!

The attitude I take towards these discussions isn’t “this one’s better cuz I say it is and everyone else is wrong.” It’s more like, “this is how I view these two songs and I’d like to share my perspective on the topic because discussing different perspectives on music is fun.” So yes, I still enjoy the music, and they are very different songs, but there’s value in discussing which one might be better.

I get that, but it's all the same to me. I love BOTH songs, I really DON'T prefer one over the other. each song has it's place in my mind, and I just see reasons to divide.....sorry....
