Just Watched "Beethoven's Ninth" On Blu-Ray! The "Tears" Streak Down My Cheeks. The Ninth Is My "Hemispheres." Duhhhhhh!

I was very lucky to see Beethoven's Ninth performed live in 1995 in San Francisco. It was EPiC!

Always been an "A Clockwork Orange" fanatic. Amazing soundtrack by Wendy Carlos?

Talk about being way ahead of the gender equality going on in today's insane world.

Anyway, I just watched a 2016 rendition of "Beethoven's Ninth" and as it brought nostalgia and tears to my eyes and mind, I just couldn't help but think to myself ho much "Hemispheres" is just as important to me as a masterpiece.

Beethoven's Ninth in D Minor equates to "Hemispheres" by RUSH.

DUHHHHHHHHHH!

Well that's what I think.

You don't have to agree with me. Hope you don't.....

I love sparking drama and argument.

Life is boring if we all agreed on the same shit.

Rush is Rush.

Beethoven is Beethoven.

Both Rule.

I just found out that the Long Beach Symphony is doing the Ninth in June.

One of my best friends in the world lives there.

I'm going for it!!!

Damn you rushhead haters.

I'm smart!

I'm not on drugs!

I just cried my eyes out to the Ninth.

At least I have the balls to type it.

I lost my Man Card years ago on here.

Fuckkk it.

I'll live fine without your ridicule and bully bullshit.

RUSH ON!

BEETHOVEN!!! GENIUS!

I feel you man. The 9th really is one of the greatest pieces of music ever written. And several times it made me cry too. I also saw it live 2 times.

Who knows what he would have written if he had lived for another 10 years? You can only imagine.

But be sure to check out more of his music, don't limit yourself to just the popular pieces or "hits" because there's so much greatness in his works and a lot of it isn't very well known.

If you like solo piano music, definitely check out the piano sonatas like Appassionata, Waldstein, Hammerklavier, No. 32 etc. If you like strings, check out the String Quartets, especially the late ones like Op. 131. And all the symphonies are great, definitely listen to the 3rd "Eroica" and the 7th.

Wow!! I made a new friend tonight! Love your post! I love your avatar. Of course you have the "A Clockwork Angels" I mean "A Clockwork Orange" avatar! One of the greatest movies on the Earth and as an English Major at St Mary's College back in the mid 90's I hated reading Shakespeare. I was under the gun in college but was obsessed with Anthony Burgess and his novel "A Clockwork Orange." A mis of English and Russian with his own creation of words. Pure genius.

Just like Beethoven!!

So glad you get me and my late night posts!

Beethoven alive for ten more years.

Beethoven's Tenth.

Beethoven's Eleventh.

Beethoven's 21 Twelfth

LOL!!!

"Hemispheres" and "The Ninth." Two masterpieces that will withstand the test of time.

But Tom Brady in 9 Super Bowls and winning his 6th Ring???

SHOOT ME NOW!

Why is life so unfair, yet is it is so damn fair?

"it is what it is and whatever...."

"It is what it is and forever"

Dream Theater’s 7th brings me to tears, but for a different reason.

Tony R!

Wow! i'm honored to read a post from you.

Again I apologize for misunderstanding your post to me years ago.

As I want to fly out to see Johnny Blaze, Grey, Pat, well at least I met Rod in Toronto. But yes, I will not ask you why I think Metropolis the seventh album brings you to tears.

My tears for many albums are for the "Ode Of Joy" I mean for just simple bliss and love for the music.

Funny,

I remember breaking up with my girlfriend of 4 years in 1991, i was going to marry that girl. Praise the Prog Gods and the Universe it didn't happen.

But I was so bummed but "Images And Words" got me though my sadness.

I know I've ripped Dream Theater a new asshole on here over the years but damn I was obsessed with them back in the day.

"Images" and "Awake" are masterpieces.

Hope your tears are not in sorrow or heartbreak.

If so I get it buddy.

We haven't typed in many moons but I get it.

Time flies by yet the people you care about can always leave off where they started.

I will always have your back Tony.

I wish I could meet so many people on this Forum.

The irony that I am hated on here so much kills my soul.

But I'm good.

RUSH ON!

I'm so bored after watching one of the worst Super Bowls on the Earth.

It's late and "the grown ups have all gone away." TOMMY???

It's ok,

I'm crazy

Insane.

I'm texting on a forum tonight by myself.

Hi Earl

What's up?

Not much.

I'm bored.

I have so many friends on here yet I'm so alone.

My favorite band RUSH is over. Gone forever.

It hurts.

Yet I still drum along.

I hope you who read my wasted bandwidth really don't think I'm crazy.

Just having some creative writing fun before bed.

Ciao Rush Fruits!

LOL!

Beethoven's Ninth is Epic but "Hemispheres" is the greatest recorded album on the planet Earth.

Not only am I going to have the STARMAN laser etched on my tombstone.

I am going to be buried with my red vinyl "Hemispheres" vinyl record.

As the maggots eat my flesh and crawl through my decaying eyeballs my rotting arms will be holding on to the greatest album ever made!!!!!

Life is short Analog Kids!

Wake up and live it like a Digital Man!

I'm gonna marry a "Digital Woman" one day.

She's already in my sights.
