Thursday evening, April 25th:

The 2019 NFL Draft commences. The First Round of draft picks, in which the most coveted players are chosen.

OR:

The Grand Opening of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, starring Thanos, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, et al.

I simply can't decide......

Can you DVR the draft and watch it later that evening?

Why would you do that and risk hearing the picks? The draft is like Christmas, only better if you're an adult and your kids are growngrown (unless you're a Dolphin fan, then it's like when you're 6 and all you get is socks.)

That is exactly what I’m doing. My “dilemma” is mosty tongue-in-cheek.

I’ll go see the film, stay off the internet, and come home to my DVR. My Packer fanatic half and my Avengers fanatic half will both be satisfied. :ebert:

   I can see your point; I am more of a casual fan and it's more interesting to me when I have a connection! I watched last year to see where Saquon Barkley would go and will watch if/when the Steelers try to find another quarterback but I'm not quite at your fan level!

Which MCU characters are comparable to these star Packers? And why?:

- Reggie White

- Bart Starr

- Aaron Rodgers

- Charles Woodson

- Brett Favre

- Sterling Sharpe

- Reggie White - Bruce Banner/Hulk (You do not want to get him angry)

- Bart Starr - Captain America (Supreme leadership, master tactician)

- Aaron Rodgers - Clint "Hawkeye" Barton (Amazing accuracy, the chicks dig him)

- Charles Woodson - Rocket Raccoon (Ingenious, devious, don't turn your back on him)

- Brett Favre - Peter Quill/StarLord (Can do great things, but can be a total jackass at times)

- Sterling Sharpe - Tony Stark/Iron Man (All ego, all the time)

Leroy Butler - Heimdall (The all-seeing guardian, commander of the Realm's defenses)

Gilbert Brown - The Thing (Massive, immovable object with a mean streak; quite lovable when he's off-duty)

Max McGee - Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Obscure hero who comes up BIG when the team needs him the most; likes to party and be naughty)

Thing must be eliminated as he hasn’t been intro’d in the MCU. ;)

How about Vince Lombardi?

Forget about him, what about Chester Marcol, Rich Campbell, and Lynn Dickey. I know nothing about Marvel Comics but the closest comp to Campbell would be someone like the Wizard of Oz, who could convince others he's mighty and powerful but there is nothing more than ordinary about him (Marcol could be a munchkin who could run really fast when terrified), and Dickey would be someone who could fire laser beams accurately and for long distances while being completely immobile.

Of course I was fishing for this answer. Congratulations, you passed! :P

Your previous answers for Starr, Favre, and Sharpe were right on the money!
