I'm a little surprised that this album isn't even more popular with some people here.  I would have expected it to be ranked as their best work.

The Elder is a great album, the last Kiss album I really like. Those 4 songs on Killers are great as well.

I dig The Elder. This just isn't the kind of album a band like KISS would be permitted by fans and critics to release without a lot of push back. Especially after releasing 2 pop albums previously, everyone was waiting for a return to form. I think if The Elder was released later in their career it would have been better received. It's a good album in hindsight and The Oath might make it into my Top Ten KISS Songs. I even like The Elder more than Creatures Of The Night--COTN is over-rated; at least half of the songs are very stale and unmemorable, IMO.

Of course.  I’ve never heard of Enuff Znuff.  Neil Young is on the RADIO.  What bigger sin is there than THAT?

I love Music From The Elder. I play it quite a bit too not just now & then. In a way I like it even more as it gets derided so much.

Not buying that you've never heard "Fly High Michelle".   Heavy rotation in its day.

Just watched the video you posted.  Never heard that song.  But the singer did make the Sign of the Cross a couple times indicating he would support forcing others to submit to his religious beliefs,  So I like them.

It's hard to believe that you've never heard Fly High Michelle before now.

But assuming that's accurate and you also don't already know, you'll be interested to know that the band recorded an album 1985.   Which makes them one greater than Van Halen, though still 117 lesser than Rush.
