vaportrailer
Very sad to see this.Roy Clark was an entertainer, but he was also a serious musician who crossed boundaries and genres. And he had a helluva smile.

blueschica
I'm sad to hear this! He was part of my childhood, as my dad was a big fan of the Hee Haw Honeys and watched Hee Haw a lot. It took me awhile to realize what a good musician he actually was. I'll miss him! RIP, Roy.

1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, and now Roy Clark. Was Clark the last of those old country guitar giants?
Lucas
The very first thing I ever tried videotaping back in 1982 when we got our first VCR was Roy performing Malaguena on the Odd Couple My Dad and I spent hour upon hour watching this and trying to figure out the secret of Roy's picking / strumming hand ... Roy was the total package - huge personality, great entertainer and hand him a stringed instrument and he was incredible ... I never met Roy, didn;t know him personally, but in losing him, it is a reminder of all the great times and memories I have - that, without him, would never have happened .. RIP Roy, thank you so much

Fordgalaxy
Damn. Almost all the exposure I had to him was on Hee Haw until I was an adult. I'm not sure there was any plucked or strummed instrument he couldn't play. RIP.
