What movies haven’t you seen that everyone else seemingly has?

2001 A Space Odyssey.

Because it was never on TV when I was growing up, and every time I say I haven't seen it people start screaming about how I'd BETTER NOT see it for the first time at home and it MUST be viewed on the BIG SCREEN for the FULL EXPERIENCE. So I'd wait and wait for some theater to do a special screening, but always seem to miss it, and eventually I just lost interest. I think Kubrick's overrated anyway.

HERESY! Actually, as much as I like most of the movies he's directed, 2001 can be a bit of a snoozefest in spots.

I've seen it several times not of my own choice (who would think that would be a good date movie?) but I have to say I still don't get parts of it and I find parts of it boring as well. Just give me the apes in Planet of the Apes instead . . . .

I knew you had a thing for apes!

Haven't seen most of the Star Wars series but I've watched enough porn for 3 lifetimes.

Maybe I should seek therapy.

Well, ya know....Star Wars films are similar to porn. They're pretty much the same thing over and over again..... :P

The force has never been with me

Star Wars

Also on this list

- Back To The Future

- Rambo

- Forrest Gump

- Gladiator

I watched Rambo for the first time recently as my partner loves those movies. I really enjoyed it!

Gladiator is very good with a great, and I mean GREAT score. I view it as a lesser but worthy companion to Spartacus.

First Blood is easily the best in the Rambo series.

Rambo: First Blood part 2 is cheesy 80s testosterone but I can still enjoy it.

Rambo 3 wasn’t good.

Then, 2008’s “Rambo” (part 4 in the series) wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I expected. In fact, I enjoyed that much like I did part 2...it even seemed less cheesy than part 2 too.

Gladiator has one of the biggest bastards in cinematic history as portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix. I’d say it’s Ridley Scott’s second best film after the unbeatable Alien and in front of the important Thelma & Louise.

I had not seen a single Star Wars movie until this year. I watched the first two trilogies over the span of three months in 2018. :)

Titanic

Yep.

I wish I Hadn't seen it.

Mick

I fell asleep at some point in the cinema and woke up to Billy Zane going nuts and firing bullets while it was going down. Waste of time.

I think Titanic is great!

Seeing it in the theater was the most boring cinema experience of my life. When the boat finally went down and the people started falling off I clapped and cheered because I was so happy that after two plus hours of some of the most boring shit I ever saw, something was finally happening.

Of course everyone in the theater gave me a what the f**k is wrong with you look which was tremendous. Way more entertaining than that insufferable film.

I went with my two flatmates at the time. And now that I think about it, we all fell asleep. No shit.

If I were to recommend an early Tom Cruise flick, I’d go with Taps and Risky Business.

I’d add Outsiders as well.

Yeah that’s a good one too. But he’s literally only in that one for maybe a minute.

Haven't seen* and don't want to see:

Titanic

4 Weddings and a Funeral

Love Actually

Mamma Mia

* Thankfully nor does my wife - yay.

My mom hated Mamma Mia and after watching that Nostalgia Critic episode I can see why. Pierce Brosnan can’t sing at all.

Ugh, I'm w/ your Mom on this one. Honestly, no one in that movie can sing, except the girl that plays the daughter and maybe the actor that played her fiance. Who told Meryl Streep she could sing, or Pierce Brosnan, or Colin Firth? Did no one listen to them before they made the movie? I don't care how good of actors they are, they can't hold a tune to save their life! The whole movie is just cringeworthy. It's embarassingly overacted and over the top and the only thing going for it is that the location is gorgeous. They absolutely butcher some of those ABBA songs. :(

Speaking of musicals where Amanda Seyfried does good singing, Russell Crowe is easily the Pierce Brosnan of Les Mis.
