RushFanForever
I really dig John Hiatt's songwriting and musicianship. I like Hiatt's song 'Riding With The King' that Eric Clapton and B.B King later covered. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nz7OvjGTb3s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Kdf_wtBQI Edited October 13, 2018 by RushFanForever

toymaker
My favorite album of his is Crossing Muddy Waters. The only song I really can't stand that he wrote is Angel Eyes.
RushFanForever
The only song I really can't stand that he wrote is Angel Eyes. Despite your dislike for 'Angel Eyes', the hit song helped put the late Jeff Healey on the map as a talented musical force to come out of Canada. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxYES1zHI_w Edited October 14, 2018 by RushFanForever

driventotheedge
Saw John Hiatt once. It was at The Gorge Amphitheater and he opened for Stevie Ray and Robert Cray, summer 1989. The cool thing was that he parachuted into the venue (if you've ever been to The Gorge you get it). The crowd saw this guy come in on a parachute and about 15 mins. later he comes on stage and tells everyone "that was me". Best entrance to a concert by an artist I've ever seen.
