Red3angel
What if la villa strangiato was the last song on pew? Would that put pew in your top 3 if it’s not already. I think it feels like it’s from that disc
Lucas
Are you saying Sir Gawian And The Green Knight would have been the final song on Hemispheres ?? I don;t think La Villa following Different Strings is a good fit ....
Union 5-3992
I feel like it wouldn't fit as well as it does on Hemispheres.
toymaker
Hemispheres is partly about a traveler in a strange placeCircumstances is about a boy far from home, in a strange placeThe Trees puts us in the forest, where there is unrest.La Villa Strangiato is the strange city. The whole album is beautifully strange and sublime. Permanent Waves brings us back to reality, in a way. It's waking from the strange dream of floating brains into a kind of stormy routine where choices have to be made - what station to listen to, what you believe, what the stormclouds and shafts of light mean to you, and what ways you will choose to reconcile the differences in your relationships and in your relationship to the world. It is also a beautifully made record. 70S RULE!!

theredtamasrule
La Villa with PeW’s sonic profile/engineering would be a very interesting listen. Hard to imagine Spheres without it or La Villa swapped for Natti Sci.
Planet X-1
What if la villa strangiato was the last song on pew? ...hmmmm....not sure, but PeW would still be an 80s album.
JARG
What if la villa strangiato was the last song on pew? Then the running time of PEW would go from 35:35 to 45:09 and fans would wonder why the song appeared on two consecutive studio albums.

"...hmmm..." - that represents about how long they delayed the release of what is clearly a 70s recording...
