Marty Balin, vocalist for Jefferson Airplane, dead at 76 from unknown causes.  He was apparently recovering from a botched surgery. Ultimate Classic Rock post to Facebook was my source, but I'm on a Fire, can't copy and paste.

When I saw this piece of news; where it says 'unknown causes' made me wonder.

I think this piece posted here a month ago reiterating what you quoted pjbear05 is a contributor to his passing.

RIP, Marty.  What a horrible thing to have happened in the hospital!  I always enjoyed his vocals . . .  he had a distinctive voice.   :rose:

I remember reading a quote from one of Marty's contemporaries along the lines of "Marty wasn;t part of the San Francisco scene, he was the San Francisco scene ... Very influential time in music history, and Marty was one of the people who drove it ..

RIP Marty

IIRC Alvin Lee of Ten Years After went under the knife for a simple procedure and died during surgery. Doctors fukk up folks, they're human.
