Todem
RIP Enjoyed a lot of Burt's films. Part of my childhood. But his greatest role came much later in his life as a Porn Star Director in Boogie Nights. Awesome role for him.
Principled Man
But his greatest role came much later in his life as a Porn Star Director in Boogie Nights. Awesome role for him. Reynolds was quite underrated as an actor. His acting chops were frequently overshadowed by all the tabloid stories about him and his love life. What a shame. He nailed so many roles, especially in Boogie Nights, The Longest Yard, and Deliverance.

blueschica
Aww, shoot. RIP, Burt. I enjoyed his movies a lot and I agree that he was underrated! I think The Longest Yard was one of the first grownup movies that I saw, and it's still good! They were saying on our news that he was the #1 box office earner in 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982- it's hard to imagine that these days. And at one point he had 4 different films that had been released and were all running in theaters at the same time because of their popularity. I am from the generation that remembers the big Cosmopolitan nude centerfold pose! (Much better than David Cassidy's, lol.) No actual naughty bits were shown but it was considered very provocative at the time. A friend's mom had it on their laundry room wall for years! RIP, Burt, I miss you already. snowdogged
RIP I watched The Last Movie Star a few months back and it was quite a touching movie. The character he plays is basically based on him. It would be even more touching to watch it now.

HemiBeers
Not really surprising to me since he's gotten really frail in his later years. Always the coolest guy in the room. RIP.
invisible airwave
Turns out he hadn’t filmed his role in Quentin Tarantino’s movie about the Sharon Tate murders yet starring Pitt and DiCaprio.

ReRushed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzqbqDW9z6E I always liked this movie... I also really like it. Several laugh out loud moments. Reynolds' charm really came through in The End.

RushFanForever
Burt Reynolds and David Hasselholf have one thing in common. They're both known for driving Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am cars which are part of historical culture with 'Smokey and the Bandit' and 'Knight Rider'. See articles below: Burt Reynolds' 'Smokey and the Bandit' makes a '77 Trans Am worth $76K David Hasselhoff's KITT From 'Knight Rider' Fetches $150K for Charity Edited September 8, 2018 by RushFanForever
invisible airwave
Just saw Hustle on Starz a few months ago. A pre NOES Robert Englund has a small pivotal role at the end. Even though they’re smaller roles for Burt, my favorites are Silent Movie and Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex (But Were Afraid To Ask).
