Well,
Here we are again on the precipice of another NFL Season. I can say personally this will be the strangest of seasons for me as I have released my financial support of my favorite team by canceling my season tickets. Along with that there is soooo much political controversy surrounding the game it has almost become unbearable! However as P T Barnum once said "The Show must Go on!" I hope as many of you will participate in this years pool starting this Thursday. the rules and the penalty structure remain the same.

Good luck everyone!

I think Ken Jennings said he would do it like this v
" I'll log scores if we have enough interest."

So hopefully there's enough interest. If not I guess we can each keep track of out own and comapare notes lol

I'll log scores if we have enough interest.

The Saints defense played like crap. We couldn't have been much worse if we sent out 11 guys off the street. The defensive line was non-existent, the secondary played like they were blind, the linebackers tackled like they had no hands.

I went back to last years thread to remember what our agreed rule regarding ties would be and found this...

So I have not seen too many suggestions on rule changes or addenddums. With the regular season quickly approaching I will assume that the structure of last seasons confidence pool will remain. I went back to last seasons unofficial confidence pool thread and pulled up the rules we had agreed on. I am fine with the way things stand but if anyone has a suggestion for a change that we all can agree onI would say now is the time.
I will start the "Official" pool thread this Wednesday as I believe this Thursday concludes the preseason.

If one misses Thursday =  loss of the highest confidence points for the number of games played that week.
If one misses picking a week = 25 points will be deducted from the total points
And the post season scoring format is to remain.

Post season scoring

Wild Card- 4,6,8,10 Points
Division- 5,10,15,20   "
Confrence- 20-25 "
Super Bowl- 50  "

Also if there are games that end in a tie 0 points will rewarded

So the week 1 PIT vs CLE will result in 0 points...
