Priest. There's not much else lately I've been into as far as new albums. The other one is a country album...

I've been into '70's pop and the unfortunately named stoner rock this summer (The Space Lords.)

This will be tough because I am anticipating The Struts' new one as they've reportedly will release it this year .. and based on the two songs they've released, barring an unforeseen disaster, I don't think I could vote for anything else

except for the incredible S/T Futuropaco album .... I would have to drive around for a week listening to both to decide which would win

some others in the mix

- Al DiMeola- Opus

- Dukes Of The Orient - S/T

- Firepower, of course

- Praying Mantis - Gravity

- Appetite For Destruction Super Deluxe Reissue

I haven't heard a single album mentioned in this thread.

In other news, I'm withholding judgment until January. There's some good stuff in the pipe between now and then.

Florence + The Machine - High As Hope

You spelled "Judas Priest - Firepower" wrong.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know this was the second best album of the year so far thread.

ROD of Toronto

His Byzantine Gay Batman Lookalike Sex Slave

A weird album to be sure but some great songs and heavy riffing! No idea what his wacky lyrics are all about, Rod must be having a mid-life crisis or something.

I'm a massive fan so fail to care if you think thats good or bad. And Priest are in my top ten and I'm not even a fan.

My music isn't better than yours and I don't think yours is better than mine so try that tactic elsewhere.

Segue's opinion doesn't count based on his favourite bands!

I haven't looked at his list in a while. Didn't know Metallica, Type O Negative and Machine Head were there now. Makes his love of Taylor Swift even more perplexing. But I still love my childhood favorite Huey Lewis and The News so we all like something that doesn't quite fit with our main tastes.

I saw The Struts open for the Foo Fighters last month in NYC. Perfect band to get the crowd going. I liked !!!

My album of the year is still easily Tribulation's Down Below.

Myles Kennedy and Tremonti's albums is way up there too.

I'm really looking forward to the new Behemoth.

Disappointment of the year goes to Machine Head and their bizarre and sporadically genius mess of an album Catharsis
