I don't follow either of those bands, but I knew someone who was related to a member of Yes and never stopped bragging about it. She and her sister used to go on their world tours.

I'd be hard pushed to say Starcastle are superior but I can say that it's hardly fair to call them inferior when they were absolutely amazing.

 

So...can we settle for...erm...equal...Yes have had lows which Starcastle NEVER had.

 

So Yes are more inconsistent but have also had far more releases...

Arg...I bloody love Citadel. More than most if not all Yes albums.

One thing that has sort of surprised me since I've joined here -- and it's actually refreshing because it is not what I expected -- is that not everyone loves Jon Anderson the way I thought might be the case ... but Jon Anderson to me is as good a vocalist and creative force as any one person ever in rock ( .. and I still love Drama as much as possible !! ) ... That just goes to show what Yes was, and just how stacked they were

 

The decade of The Yes Album thru Drama is unmatched in my book .. The greatest, most flawless creative output ever for a band

i bought fountains of light in 10th grade and thought it sounded too much like yes for me to really get into. and I'm a huge yes fan, but it sounded like they went into the studio with the goal of sounding like yes
