Fordgalaxy
Money he has. Maybe it's something else about LA he's after... Possibly, but as with many multizillionaires, they can never have enough. He turned down about $36,000,000 to stay at Cleveland for 1 more year so he's definitely getting a pay raise, but also the limelight and coverage that he didn't seem to get in Cleveland. I mean, it's Cleveland for crying out loud.
Lucas
He must be tired of losing to the Warriors in the Finals, so now he can lose to them in the first round Ariza leaving the Rockets is pretty significant .. I'm not sure if Ariza is worth 15 mil to Phoenix, but he definitely was worth that to the Rockets as they were the only real threat to the Warriors .. It's tough to gauge regular season games, but the Lakers played the Warriors tough this past season ...
laughedatbytime
Facebook never disappoints...the most commonly expressed opinion in stories in my newsfeed about this are about how many teachers could be paid or homeless could be fed with the $38.5 million per year he's making.

laughedatbytime
Apparently, there are a lot of fans who wouldn't want that overpaid baby on their team, if the comments on Facebook are to be believed. :)
JohnnyBlaze
I bet those in L.A. who don’t want him will change their tune once he starts delivering. Many fans are just as full of shit as the worst pro athletes around

Many fans are just as full of shit as the worst pro athletes aroundI don't think there are any Laker fans that don't want him, just fans of other teams that either feel jilted because they thought they had a shot at him, or those jealous because they know they never did. In any case, as five minutes listening to sports talk radio could tell you your last statement couldn't be more true. goose
Not surprisingly, the Lakers' odds of winning it all in 2019 changed drastically. But with LeBron out of the East, the Warriors' odds also improved. Back in early June, the Lakers were given title odds around 16-1... Westgate Sportsbook currently has the Lakers' odds set at 7-2, with the Warriors set as favorites to win another title at 10-11. The Celtics are also at 7-2, while the Rocketsare close behind at 7-1. Said no one ever. You listen to those hacks? You should try the Ticket in Dallas. It will take a year or so before you get the inside jokes but it's worth the investment. Most of the main guys are on dry dock but you should check out The Ticket once training camp starts.

Sadly, there are people who live their pathetic lives centered around sports. I know a guy where I used to live that had season tickets to the Rams and it didn't matter win or lose, he'd get so worked up he almost always called in "sick" (in the head) the following day. It became a pathetic, running joke at his work.Zzzzzzz.Can't wait to see what Skip, Shannon, Stephen A., Max, Cowherd, and Whitlock have to say about this! Also LeBatard and Stugotz, pity they are on vacation this week.
