lerxt1990
Sometimes I watch a scene from a movie and become very aware of the amazing quality of the acting. I'm posting one here I just saw... Post ones of your own! I'm looking at ones where minus special effects, the actors and the nuance in how they deliver their lines are amazing.

Lucas
Al's performance in Dog Day Afternoon is one of the best ever .. Great great movie that is driven by what is important - acting and a director who knows how to set the table . invisible airwave
Philip Seymour Hoffman and miss seeing his work- He was my favorite living actor before he died. It’s currently Sam Rockwell.
JohnnyBlaze
Philip Seymour Hoffman and miss seeing his work- “I’m always home. I’m uncool.” Always loved that line. A damn shame he’s gone.

That One Guy
I know it's not necessarily "world class" but I did like Leonardo's scene in Django Unchained were he accidentally cut his hand, and continued on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ifh6xJQyufc
Lucas
You could always depend on Joan Crawford to deliver Queen Bee and the iconic Whatever Happened To Baby Jane

thesweetscience
I have a scene in mind but I can't find a clip of it. Anyway, if you have never seen the movie Absence of Malice then do yourself a favor and watch it. I could fill this thread with scenes from it.
Slaine mac Roth
Let me In - Are you a Vampire? Considering the youth of the two performers here, I think it is brilliant the way the exchange is underplayed without any grandstanding at all. thesweetscience
Inglorious Basterds was on Showtime last night and I watched it again fore the billionth time. The movie had so many well written and acted scenes but none better than this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5z1y2jOofQ
Lucas
Mia Farrow in See No Evil She's blind, and when her family seems to have disappeared, she realizes that their bodies are still in the house - along with the killer Great performance .. on par, if not better than Audrey Hepburn in a similar role
