I am immediately reminded how much I take Don't Stop Believing for granted. It's a masterclass in delayed gratification, patience, and most of all perseverance, presented in one of the biggest pop songs of all time. In short, it's brilliant songwriting and arranging, and that's easy to forget when everyone and their uncle's dog treats it like the meme it's become. I can't stand Journey after "Infinity." Just give me the first three Journey records before Steve Perry and Steve Smith!!!!!!!!!! DUNBAR BABY!!!! JOURNEY WAS AMAZING! Then they sold out. The second set was all the modern radio friendly crap.So it was Steve Augeri on vocals. He was ok but in my music mind he didn't do much in the first set because fit was all jam band killer rock and roll. Loved it. Second set? I left early. PURE SHITE I actually saw Journey in Concord with Jeff Scott Soto on vocals. I went because I love his early work with Malmsteen. Jesus, yet another pop poop shite show. Again I left early. I'm taking my dad to see Def Leppard and Journey in SF in September. I am praying Journey headlines so we can leave early. That current singer sucks too. But good for him cashing in and making tons of money for his family. I hate Journey. My dad just wants to see Def Leppard. Man, seeing Neal, Gregg, Deen, and Mendoza on bass at The Independent though for the fire victims was OFF THE CHARTS!!!!! I felt like I was back in 1973!!
