Wow, should I change my last one to Parallels- Yes or does everyone on here know by now that Yes is the name of a band. :P Seriously it would be nice if there was some consistency in the way the songs and bands were listed.

Apart from the single The Cutter, Porcupine is an album of deep cuts. A great and somewhat overlooked (it seems to me) collection of tracks.

The Doors - 20th Century Fox

What ? No No No. Not a deep cut.

I'm not even a fan of theirs and I know that song.

OK, you guys gotta know I can get plenty more obscure.

Jefftown Creek by Head East from their debut album Flat As A Pancake (which has one song you likely know, Never Been Any Reason commonly and incorrectly known as Saved My Life I'm Going Down For The Last Time). How many of you have never heard of Head East? Would their entire catalog be considered deep cuts?

And btw, how the hell can Child In Time by Deep Purple be considered a "deep cut" and 20th Century Fox is not? One of DP's concert staple songs for many years and on all the Mark II live albums I do believe.

Or how about Evil And Here To Stay by the Jeff Healey Band on the album Feel This? Is that one deep enough?

It seems to me you didn't put a number next to your choice which is also might be a reason it wasn't taken seriously. Also, you have to fight for your choices on here. I personally see no reason why "20th century fox" can't be listed. I rarely if ever hear it on the radio. As for "Child in Time" few people other than those who are DP fans or those who own the album it is on even know about it. I think people poo pooed your choice the same way they might poo poo the great gig in the sky. It's on album that a lot of people know even if the song isn't one of the most well known on the album.

I actually only listen to deep cut songs, so if i dont know the song it is popular and cannot be on the list.

So what do you do if you listen to an album that happens to have a popular song?

I would never listen to an album with a popular song, too mainstream :sundog:

Sorry to hear that. You’re missing out on a lot of great music.

I only listen to the 3rd and 7th song on any album...if the album doesn't have at least 7 songs on it I don't buy it. :dweez:

Permanent Waves is one of my favorite albums ever.

I wish they'd rerelease it with bonus tracks so I can buy it I've always wanted to hear what "Jacob's Ladder" sounds like, but hey, rules are rules. ;)
