I placed myself as a 3.

Very much into Alice in the early-mid 70's. Kinda lost track after that.

As a high school senior in 1973 we were allowed to go off campus for lunch. We'd hop into my buddy's 1969 Firebird and put in School's Out / Killer / Billion $ Babies 8-tracks and off we went. Very memorable to me. I'm still in touch with my friend Mark, who owned the Firebird.

My first Alice experience was this ( attached video) ...jaw dropping.

This concert was broadcasted on NYC TV early 70's. Along with Traffic, Iggy and the Stooges and Grand Funk... That's all I remember seeing.

I really admire the guy and a lot of his music, I think 4 is a fair score. His radio show is comfy, the "freaky facts" segment is always really cool if you're lucky enough to catch it. Great commentary and he plays a few unique tracks each night.

3.

I have seen him live, and I own like 3 records with him (A greatest hits, a single and Million Dollar Babies), but I rarely listen to them.

He is really good tho, and I like the music when I do listen to it! I just forget about him among all the music I have...

I admire his longevity and career. My best friend in high school was a AC nutcase...so I got a good dose of it. But he's not someone I would spend money on or go out of my way to listen too. For all the theatrics, the music is pretty mundane to me.

The freaky stage show just gets old real fast.

He bust his britches after Nightmare ... who could continue to live like that anyways. He still gives us gems every now and then and his live shows remain relevant to his legacy of sharing his unique artform.
