One side is pretty cool craziness from 1968.

The Fire Suite... :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury: :fury:

(You had to know I would respond this way.)

A sidelong ode to sheer pyromania and purification by fire. Completely nuts.

Totally groundbreaking for the time, I'm sure. Kids parents were probably ill hearing this coming from the speakers. Then came Sabbath and Alice Cooper right afterward...

Album was Yuuuuge when it came out. I remember WABX in Detroit playing side 1 in its entirety multiple times back then. A 4/5 for its time. Edited by pjbear05

I am so glad that I stayed awake - somehow, seeing this for the first time at 1:38pm instead of 1:38am would not have hit me the same

Check out the guy that comes into the left side of the frame @1:35

It's a very dazed and confused young George W Bush

@2:10 the drummer looks so unmotivated, or very drugged out

WOW. I didn't know that Carl Palmer was a member of this band for a very brief period. 1969.

Never checked out his stuff but he was very influential to metal and shock rock. I know that both Alice Cooper and King Diamond have mentioned how he influenced them and their image. Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson were also influenced by his singing style.

I believe Cooper also toured with Arthur Brown last yea, but you can see the influences for them, but I am interested with Halford and Dickinson
