RushFanForever
Hello I haven't see a thread post in regards to the recent lyric video for 'A Farewell To Kings'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qf0qVVbMckU When I became aware of RUSH in the early 90's as a teenager, my first purchase was the 'Chronicles' compilation album. The two disc set didn't have song lyrics included in the liner notes booklet. Also, this was slightly before the Internet era where 'song lyrics' weren't posted online per se to view. As well at the time, I didn't have a strong curiosity or desire to seek out the individual albums on vinyl or CD for budget reasons. The majority of cassette tapes from the 60's, 70's, and some of the early 80's didn't have a liner notes/lyric booklet at all. My listening ear could only decipher what the interpretation of the lyric was as best it could without a visual reference, despite the music being excellent. Now with the lyric video for 'A Farewell To Kings' posted, I can now see and properly hear what the lyrics actually are! On a side note, it's neat that old songs on reissued packages are uploaded with lyric videos. Another above example is The Rolling Stones and their recent reissued 'Their Satanic Majesties Request' album. Some of the songs have cool lyric videos.
