I had gone to Beijing, Tai Shan & Tai ‘An two or three weeks before joining TRF and it was that trip that pushed me to join the board and eventually haunt you and everyone else here. I wanted to share my love of Rush. I never liked the song too much but the music obviously entered my mind while I was at the top of Tai Shan. And it didn’t annoy me. :P Too bad photobucket doesn’t allow pics to be linked anymore or all the pics would still be viewable. Damn you photobucket! Probably in this order... 1) Bravest Face...yodeling garbage 2) You Bet Your Life...sounds like Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” - Buddy Holly Ben Hur bla bla bla suck 3) Speed of Love...(underserving of a comment) 4) Rivendell...Necromancer is an example of a good song made when drugged up; Rivendell is an example of a shit song when drugged up 5) Face Up...these lyrics kill this song for me. If it were an instrumental or just a bunch of humming I'd pass it. It’s a shame as the music behind the words is decent I think I’m going to have to replace Face Up with Wish Them Well as there’s nothing in it that I enjoy. They dont really Rock like others Rush took a Risk with most of these picks, Middletown dreams is super nerdy also Mystic Rhythms is also one of these My mothers favorite RUSH song of all time btw, We heard it live in 1986 Nobody's hero RULES but it was a risky song back then, It certainly made me cringe. Some of these songs were embarrassing to listen to with my Guy friends in school. Ive grown to love them all over the years.
