No Neil no rush

He never said anything about Geddy and Al continuing on as Rush.

I think they should get a younger drummer if they do anything together again. Get some young blood the light a fire under their asses. Worked for Judas Priest when Faulkner replaced Downing.

If Ged and Al do anything together again, I don't think it should be on a very large scale. I would't do more than one album and one small tour.

Call it Russia, they live in Canada they're practically Russian anyway...

Ground Control to Major Dis!

Canadians are generally laid-back, happy-go-lucky people, polite, friendly, helpful, many are stoned.

Now what was I saying again?

Coincidentally, a few years back, Neil met up for a one off jam session with Les Claypool, Danny Carey, and Stewart Copeland. They called it CCCP. YouTube it.

I'm always ahead of the game. :hail:

They will. It won't be as "Rush". They will play a few Rush tunes and some covers and a new album. It'll be within the next 2 years. I'm hopeful they call themselves Dirxst like the rushisaband.com April Fools joke from I think it was year before last.

At this point, if we’re being honest, isn’t Geddy’s voice more of a problem than Neil? I saw R40 and it was great fun. I bought the CD and listened once.

Most of the second set was brutal. First set was mostly fine.

I'm sure they've already wrote and/or played new music. Whether we'll ever hear it is another question entirely.

They'll pick a fine drummer if they decide to record again, and it's possible it would be someone we've never heard of.

It wouldn't be Rush, and that's not important.

I like the creative chemistry they've had in the past and it would be surprising to me if they don't make music I like next time.

Geddy's solo venture was very Rush-like, Alex's wasn't remotely Rush-like.

My assumption is that together they would mix Alex's desire to branch out with Geddy's desire to keep things tight and the outcome would be great.

Other than that, I have no opinion. As exits go, Rush's was as good as any exit ever is.

Without Professor Peart RUSH would cease to be

Its too sad to think of Boo Hoo :rage: :syrinx:

But Geddy and Big Al would make sweet music without him Under another Band name,

But it would not be :rush:
